I had no idea this musical instrument even existed.
All I can say is that the next person I hear playing it will have a hard time impressing me after this!
It is such a joy to see a nyckelharpa that I have sold being played with such skill.
What a testament to your skill.
do you build them?
@@nojuice457 No Sorry. Please google nyckelharpa säljes and you will find som makers.
aku juga mau
@@nojuice457 He's like... THE guy that builds them hahaha
I just discovered this instrument about 15 min ago. What a way to start my day!!!!!!!
This is like a poem but instead of words it's sound from an instrument, drawn out from a quality intrument and a very skilled player.
The resonance of the instrument adds to the drama of the music.
I listen to this every day.
Wow! Just, wow!!! ❤️ 🎶
This piece is seriously my jam. It's a very big inspiration for me right now in beginning to learn composition. I'm currently transcribing it to pick it apart.
I am so glad. Let me know if I can help; I'd love to look over your transcription. The harpa is tuned CGCG from low to high, if that helps. Thanks!
Voilà on a envie de louer un nickelharpa maintenant, c'est malin ! :D Superbe en tout cas, ça fait voyager...
Hey bud you still around? I come back to your videos(This one specifically) quite often, really inspired me when I got my nyckelharpa. Have always wanted to hear new stuff from you. Hope all is well!
You nailed a polska on banjo, and now you handle the nyckelharpa magnificently. As a swede I'm both proud and impressed!
Thank you very much! Your comment means a lot to me.
the performer is really feeling this piece.. it is wonderful to watch and listen
I can't belive you have only 29 subs...you're an amazing musician! You played both parts beautifully. Please do more vids on this instrument I love the way it sounds!
Thanks so much! Here's another video for this instrument I made - ruclips.net/video/GliDN_WrU4w/видео.html I hope you enjoy!
Molto bravo
Brilliant.
Beautiful music
Maestro much! 👍👏👏👏🙏. By what magic does this instrument attach so twinlike to your body? No strap visible.
Amazing amazing work breath taking excellent how could I get one of this instrument
OMG! Recently found out this marvelous instrument and I'm amazed, sounds baroque but it's earlier. In love.
Just. Wow. Your playing is incredible...
THIS IS AMAZING I NEED THIS INSTRUMENT
Thank you for the compliment! As far as the instrument in concerned, I felt the same way when I first saw the Nyckelharpa, I couldn't rest until I had one! It's really fun to play and truly not very difficult despite how complex looking it is. The hard part is getting one!
I don't think I will be able to rest until I get my hands on one either! Haha. Really?? That's awesome! I've been wanting to take up another instrument but haven't been able to decide what, now I know! I've already started the process of buying one through the link you provided, so thanks so much for opening my eyes to it! Hahahaha
I'm dying to get one of these, could tell me where you or how you got yours
Well you got like 4-6 g's you can get one
I surprise, make them. search nycklejarpa on facebook Tony Loro
I love your Nyckelharpa pieces, they are so imaginative and colorful!
Thanks!
Ugghhh this was so beautiful. I felt every note of it..wonderful job! ❤
I sincerely hope that this beautiful piece will soon get all the appraisal it deserves. So unique, soothing and calming yet playful with ting of adventure to it. Bravo!
Thank you I truly appreciate that.
Who made your nykelharpa? I have been searching far and wide for a maker so I can get myself one
Outstanding!!! BRAVO!
So beautifully done!
Thanks Chris, thanks to you I realized I will always be a crappy musician. You've got a huge talent, keep doing this!
Very amazing and beautiful! This is new for me, I see it for the first time and I like it very much, the instrument and the music. Greetings from Kurdistan.
incredible
Ah I love this instrument, and this song made my day, I may not be able to afford it, but I can sure as hell listen to it's beautiful voice
And also subscribing for your amazing content and talent :)
Very well, indeed! I love it and I even published this video in my blog Musique de Cour.
This is simply breathtaking! How can I learn this piece? Is there a sheet music for it?
Wow - this is amazing - wish it was on spotify :-)
Should I be able to play this on a violin? I want to start playing violin and want to learn this song. Really enjoy listening it, good job.
You could on a viola tuned CGCG
Love it! and nice beard by the way. I'm hoping to find one on a swedish flee market someday...
Hello, I recently got really interested in the nyckelharpa and I am looking to buy one, but I am not sure what is trustworthy and if im paying a reasonable price for what I am getting. Also my mother is worried about sending money over seas, I live in america, I found two people who sell them, earlharpas.com, and the www.nyckelharpa.com you linked, what would you recommend buying? Also I am looking for something that would last a long time, and something that I wouldn't have to replace for something better when i get better with the instrument. If I buy one I want something nice and thats going to last. Thanks for reading :)
See above. I will have 2 finished in time for Christmas.
If you composed this, you are very good!
wonderful music, great performance. subbed. I love all stringed instruments. who knew a horseshoe crab could become one? that's what this crazy instrument with the incredible sound reminds me of.
Ha ha yeah it's bizarre. It's weirdly simple to play once you get the hang of it, though in truth not the most ergonomic instrument I've ever played. Never heard the crab comparison but it's apt! Thanks for the kind words!
Wow.. This is so beautiful. Just an incredible musician. I have been wanting a NH and this has really lit a fire. The tone of this instrument is exactly what I have been looking for. I noticed he only has one NH in his shop. Is this the same one?
How much is the nyckelharpa worth? And is it Hard to learn how to play on it?
I checked around a bit, and newly built seems to be in the range of €1300 to €2500, used on auction sites around €500-€1500.
No way in hell for a good one 5 g's american
Maybe for a REALLY good one. But there are perfectly good nyckelharpor out there for $2000-$3000 US. I wouldn't pay less than that, unless you have a chance to play it first.
Beautiful! Who built your instrument?
This is such beautiful music, played by a virtuoso. Deserves just so much more attention then the noise polluting nonsense called music today. I do hope you can share this talent with many people in the future.
I am honored by your comment. Thank you
Did you make this song yourself? This is beautiful and you are unbelievably talented.
I've never seen anything like this instrument before, but it sounds phenomenal. Did you write this piece of music, or is it an old folk song?
They make such beautiful music, id love to play one but I'm guessing they are very hard to master haha.
Mike Hawk Would you say it's similar to drawing a violin bow?
Memeself, I have not had the privilege of playing a nyckelharpa, but I have heard the style of bowing compared to that of a jouhikko, (A much more affordable, beautiful, and underappreciated instrument) which takes a bit of getting used to if you are used to playing the violin, but I managed to get the hang of it with a few months diligent practice.
Do you travel to festivals?
very similar to a hurdy gurdy, i love the sound
I hope he gets like a job as an extra in the next GoT prequel.
Who built your harpa?
Is it an Enar Magnusson instrument?
Hello Rory. No it is made by Elov Jansson. I got it from nyckelharpa.com. I really love it, especially considering that the cost was reasonable, for a hand made instrument of course!
Loved it! Where'd you record this too?
+jamesblond516 My house, with a black sheet!
+Tales of the Boatman Wow... I look forward to the day when I'm musical enough to use black sheets!
I wish I could learn to play like you :) It sounds just so wonderful and is kinda hypnotising ♡ But sadly it's too expensive for my family and me
Thank you so much! I am so glad you enjoy the music.
And yes it's terrible that the nyckelharpa has to cost so much. It makes sense given how much time, materials, and fine craftsmanship goes into making one - but I made some real sacrifices to get mine! It took years. I hope you find one one day!
mto lindo! parabéns
CHECKMATE violin.
I want to get a nyckelharpa, but I live in a town with no teacher, so I'm restricted to violin..
Teach yourself! That's what I did. There's lot's of great resources online. Vicki Swan has great videos that are very helpful.
Tales of the Boatman Cool!
how expensive is a nickelharpa?
TOM HANKS :D
Dé ja vú
I find your comment inscrutable though it has piqued my curiosity
