So if you find one you like and it is too fast, just tap your screen (on phone) and 3 dots show up on the right hand side, if you tap them it will show you where to adjust the playback speed! ❤️

Until I watched this video I was convinced this knot was intentionally created to drive me insane. Thank you for demonstrating the subtleties ie: pushing back when tightening. This knot and others aren't that difficult to do, it's keeping them under control that causes me the most problems. You are the first person I've seen take the time to offer helpful "behind the scenes" tips and tricks and it is very much appreciated. Keep up the great work and thanks again!!

I’m so happy to hear it! It can be tricky at first , but you’ll get it! Also, starting out, I realllllyyy recommend NOT using a single ply, it’s too hard to get it straight, try using a multi ply rope, it gives it a lot more structure and sooo much easier to get straight lines:)

Have seen other videos ,in some videos it's shown you go first behind the filler rope then the second in front.... This is throughout in front its easier thanks soo much
I wish I did! It’s a mystery to me, there is no exact way to estimate that I have found that actual works! I cut more than I think I’ll need or find a project I have made with similar cord, knots etc, where I have the lengths written down and guesstimate that way. 🤷🏻♀️ But nope! I don’t want to give anyone bad advice and be at fault for wasting cords! :s
Best video ever!! I'll try doing this again. Do you know what I was doing wrong here: when I finished my row of knots, they were in waves... they were perfectly horizontal but the waves were in and out towards me (I don't know how to explain it, I wish I could send a picture)
It sounds like the tightness of your knots were inconsistent. As you go, try to watch each knot you place and double check it’s about as tight as the knot before it. :) Let me know if that helps!
I had a question, are you able to make a diagonal clove hitch knot with two 'guide' or 'base' ropes? Thank you for the tutorial, it is incredibly helpful! To be clearer, the instuction for my craft reads, "Hold the 2 cords on the far left together. Use these as the "base cord," and tie Diagonal Clove Hitches around them with each cord hanging down, as shown."
Hi Grace, I know exactly what you mean. And yes, you sure can! Although I feel it only works well when using a single strand cord, it is smooth that way with no lumps. I do have a tutorial that shows how I did this method around a heart if you’d like to see? It is a small heart tutorial, it’s red on the thumbnail. ♥️
I hated this knot at first too! Then when I switched to better rope & higher mm then it fell into place but man I struggled! Wish I’d had seen your video first!

Best video ever!! I'll try doing this again. Do you know what I was doing wrong here: when I finished my row of knots, they were in waves... they were perfectly horizontal but the waves were in and out towards me (I don't know how to explain it, I wish I could send a picture)

It sounds like the tightness of your knots were inconsistent. As you go, try to watch each knot you place and double check it’s about as tight as the knot before it. :) Let me know if that helps!

I had a question, are you able to make a diagonal clove hitch knot with two 'guide' or 'base' ropes? Thank you for the tutorial, it is incredibly helpful! To be clearer, the instuction for my craft reads, "Hold the 2 cords on the far left together. Use these as the "base cord," and tie Diagonal Clove Hitches around them with each cord hanging down, as shown."
Hi Grace, I know exactly what you mean. And yes, you sure can! Although I feel it only works well when using a single strand cord, it is smooth that way with no lumps. It’s the same, this is on a diagonal angle.
I hated this knot at first too! Then when I switched to better rope & higher mm then it fell into place but man I struggled! Wish I’d had seen your video first!
It is definitely tricky at first! I feel the same way about the type of cord, it can definitely make it much easier OR much more difficult!
