MR2 Spyder Engine Removal Start

Can you only remove the engine or you have to bring the transmission down too ?

I ruined my motor in my car based on the dealership diagnosis now my motor sounds like a trap compared to when I left it with them it ran so smoothly.

I was charge 3100 dollars to replace a rear main oil seal claim had to remove motor.wrong diagnosis only pcv hose split and bad pcv valve.later found out dealership lied about cost
