This is probably my favorite heli vid on YT. It reminds me of my 1st ride, in 1983, in an S300. The pilot did some low level river following which was hella fun. (It got him killed though, doing the same thing, some years later.) Nice video!
It’s a flying helmet, not a ‘hard hat.’ The use of which, is NOT a mandatory requirement in Italy, but would be a sensible thing to do. I completely agree with you on the use of shoulder straps. The pilot may have his own reasons/preferences, but without them, survivability is significantly reduced in the event of a mishap.
