Todd, the sound from your Kit is huge. Bubble wrap...interesting. I tryed 25 cotton balls in my floor Tom. The Tom just thunders and with 6 moongels and cotton balls, it's hard to diminish the ringing. Appreciate listening to you. Remind me of Earle proule ??? ( Yankee magazine). Love the foot cast on the wall.
The bubble wrap thing is an ongoing experiment. It really dries up the sound though. Today, I'm going to wrap it around the inside of the shell instead of just laying it on the reso head. I think it will offer a better sound and diminish the overtones better. Funny the track cast- I was wondering if someone would notice. That's the "Hereford Cast". Sherrif Deputy casted it after a series of 911 calls regarding a "prowler" in a neighborhood I believe in Washington State. It's a replica of the original. Subject of a soon to come story video
