Assuming issuer doesn't default, the bond u HOLD is Senior Secured debt (not unsecured subordinated debt)
U will still make capital gains by buying it at 30cents and getting coupons if hold to maturities.
So it's a REITS like exposure.. u get capital gains of 70 cents and periodic coupon payments.
There is a cap on bond prices and coupon payments can be a stepped up payment or reset to floating rate.
If it's a floating-rate bond, you get paid more in a inflationary environment.
Bond-holders can request for companies to halt dividends payments if they are not getting paid first
