That's what in our heads starting plantation of our food forest. Food security for us, our children and grandchildren. Using 5 layer model and natural farming on our farm, makes the process not that much consuming. Cut and drop technique, lots of mulching and natural manure is a key to healthy forest growth.
Dense spacing between plants force their competition so we be sure only strongest plants stay on the farm. We have both native and hybrid varieties, as of now hesitating around 78 varieties of fruit trees and 12 medicinal herbs.
We got harvest from our fruit trees already in first year after planting and waiting for the rest plants to bring fruits.
