I reaaly dont like this game "timer" mechanic. Ur literally limited to have fun is a certain time. Not time to enjoy builds or enjoy ur characters.
It's a rogue-like not an RPG. Most rogue-likes I know have timers like this or if they dont, they have a subtle one. In Hades for exemple, there's no timer but why would you even stay in a room if it's empty? It does act like a timer. And having a timer mechanic like Ravenswatch makes you more free for choices, meaning the progression of your char, even if limited by time, depends of the path you choosed.
Anyway it's not to contradict you, you're free to feel it so. It's just how I see things!
