Very glad they kept the art style from Curse. I’m already a sucker for hand-drawn assets but this style in particular is like visual candy. Hoping the impact of hits and parries (if they exists??) are as solid as they were in curse.
Yeah its better than the generic realism you see nowadays.

Question. What is the meaning of the number x/30 under UPGRADES in the hero description section? After defeating the nightmare for the first time, this number became 4/30 and 4 upgrades show the gold symbol under the icon.
When you level a character they unlock upgrades and new changes to their abilities, the x/30 shows how many upgrades you have unlocked (note not all the upgrades are released yet)
@@99xplord So the fact that the upgrade number was not updated after every level up, is a bug. Thanks
@@lord_kelvin17 No, it's not a bug: that gold symbol marks the skills you had when you succesfully completed a run on that character.

so your abilities never change and the mods for it are only passive? they dont do anything extra cool to them.. like projectile's splitting or tornado's proc'ing??
Just purchased the game. I'm enjoying it, but controls feel a little clunky sometimes, specially dash. Sometimes I'm facing a certain way and the dash goes somewhere else
Wondering if someone can help, can you save on this game ? cant find it anywhere on steam nor is it saving auto.
Just started the game. I notice some characters are greyed out. Is this because it's early access or do these unlock in-game somehow? Thanks

They are 2 locked characters currently. Beat the first chapter to get one, beat it again to get the other.

I'd like to enjoy this game. But the flickering black bar taking up 1/3 of my screen is killing the hype for me.
does wasd movement work in this?
Tried my first run, was smoking the adds, then the master nightmare was summoned with like 4K health. He destroyed all my feathers and I barely got him 1/3 down. What did I do wrong? 😂
You have to kill all five tentacles first. That'll stun the main body and strip it's defense, allowing you to whale on it for a bit. Wash rinse and repeat, as it will resummon the tentacles after the stun is over
Reporting back in my own comment. I have beaten the game on nightmare 9 for all characters. The game is AWESOME. And the newly announced hero and map seem so cool. Really a great game.
@@Eridani77 Just read this comment after putting about 2/3 hours into the game. Had no clue killing all of the tentacles stunned the boss. I've pushed 3 difficulties without EVER killing all of the tentacles. That's some good info to have.
How do you unlock the characters? I've beaten the boss and got Alladin, but the siren is still locked.

No, the developers made the game Curse Of The Dead Gods, which released not too long after Hades. It looks more like that than like Hades
This game looks almost identical in art style as they're previous game curse of the dead gods.
is there a matchmaking in coop or its manual Coding only ?
Only manual codes and Steam friends invites. No matchmaking yet

The game gets easier as you unlock more ability upgrades< I like the Piper can solo the game with him even at Nightmare 5
How long does a round last ?
I think the Boss appears after 24 minutes (assuming you last that long). I think its 6 minutes per day so presumably 3 minutes of daylight and 3 minutes of darkess.
@@craigcochrane2284 just killed the boss on my second attempt(only on normal though). It spawns at 25 minutes
@@jleg8586 I'm on the Discord myself, but I didn't sign up to the Beta Test. I want the game to be reasonably fresh when it gets its full release...although saying that I still couldn't resist watching the video. :+)

Why this game don't have pause mechanic when we shopping or upgrade skill ? I mean when we play in solo mode. I died alot when read the skill text. Bullshit
i play 5 days this game and i come online today and all my chars charackter lvl are 1 wtf they reset my chars OmG Damn Game!!!
yeah.....as far as rogue-likes go....this game is significantly more difficult than 99% of the others ive played...so....

One map, One boss :( This will kill all of 25 minutes or so while waiting for D4. Only two more months, 23 hours and 30 minutes to go 😂
Only 1 map kinda has killed my interest for this also whereas I have 100+ hours in hades I’ll wait to try this when there’s more later. Gonna have to find something else to hold me over for Jedi survivor

@@InvadeNormandy the D4 beta was absolutely fine and I was soooooo ready to HATE it. Honestly was one of the crunchiest aRPGs I've played in a bit (and I've been doing my homework) and just enough complication for a casual like me. Made me somehow hype for a $70 (SEVENTY DOLLARS) game

It's in early access, so yea it needs more time for sure . Still a bummer it's only got one map idk if I can go for it yet
they are dropping early access. they mention the game is nowhere near complete and its in early access. early access meaning its coming in early for people to access if they want even without most content. so you see. if you look at it and it says early access then assume its still in the oven

It's the super bare bones that just makes it unfortunate. Last Epoch is my vibe rn, it's also early access but has some meat in it's sandwich
@@strawberryfrogforever I mean if the sandwich would be one i really like then yeah just the bread is technically early access. I see your point where a lot of early access out there have a lot more meat in the sandwich even during early access but every games early access would be diffferent. the developers could of held out from releasing the early access till later or give it to us now. think of it as them releasing what they have even earlier than what they would have for those interested in what small progress they have currently. I personally think the game has a lot of good things going for it but a severe lack of content for it. So seeing the good things which for me is the extremely diverse cast of characters it makes me hopeful that the game will end up good.
Only 5 spells is really low. Hope the game doesn't cost more than 10bucks
Yeah, an early access with only 1 map that will last a whole year according to the official post by the devs on Steam... You can realistically unlock everything and max every hero over one weekend. Given that their other game (Curse of the Dead Gods) is $19.99 on Steam after full release, I'm expecting $15 for this EA, which is admittedly a little steep.
@Matija Trajkovic idk what post you saw but the road map on steam says the new map is coming in the summer which is definitely not a year
