Phenomenal episode. I really enjoyed this discussion and found it profitable for what we are doing at home. Thank you for putting this content out into the world! I especially loved Mitchell’s point about Frankenstein. All of society does a better job when they are trained to know and understand holistic humanity and serve what is true and designed by God, not the version of society we have created in arrogant thought and striving. Again, thank you!
Don’t let Mitchell get away with not telling us his book titles! Some of us love in depth books on seemingly random subjects just as much as War and Peace 😂
I determined that my classical education would be a personal goal. Maybe it is because of my circle of influence, I find that an infinitely small number of people care what I know, and aren't particularly interested in hearing about it.
"..otherwise you're that person that's been giving those talents and just.. buried them into the ground.." alright now why is Paul preaching to me. I loved this discussion thank you all.
I remember when a maths teacher told me (a German and English teacher) that most of what takes place in English classes is a massive waste of time, because it doesn’t help students solve real-world problems. It’s not just a view that education is about job training, but also about “problem-solving” and participation in a democratic society.
Does a well educated person depend on classical curriculum or depend on the teacher training them up in the ways of the Lord, no matter what curriculum is chosen or if Latin is taught or if the classics are read or not? I’m genuinely asking because classical curriculum does seem more intimidating to me than others

I love this! Thank you! God bless you! I pray God will use me to build up our next generation in education using Memoria press curriculum.

I love this so much. Listening while I repair and paint drywall.

Brian Brown played the Australian Soldier in A Town Called Alice.
Fabulous discussion and encouragement, thank you! I'm in for an episode on the things Mitchell thinks will bore us. 🤔

I believe my entire life is a repayment of the debt I owe my ancestors specifically and Culture in general for all I have been given.
