    Nice idea, but these days a car this big needs a bigger battery.

    I see this (as a new van version) for posties, with them in and out of the car all the time, enough range for them too, and loads of space. Even a short range taxi would do well, with the right charging infrastructure in place. For the money and abilities this has, I'd be happy as a postie delivering mail and parcels without choking on the diesel fumes.

      @iivaridark6850 Год назад

      But, nowadays, there are no "diesel fumes" from diesels any more... And they are very silent, too.

    • @BobH809
      @BobH809 Год назад

      @@iivaridark6850 Well, where I live, they are still noisy, stinky and like anything not electric, still polluting our lungs. Thing is, I have a petrol car, because I can't afford an electric car (at least of a type I would need for my journeys for the week and the odd long distance drive) . In the scheme of things, it is still early days for battery vehicles compared to the petrol/diesel variety. Perhaps your statement about no fumes from diesels any more is for the new cars, yet if they are not looked after well enough, they too will be spewing out black smoke like we get here from lots of tractors passing our house every day.

    Nice video! Suggestions: next time, figures, numbers and points of interest would be nice to have them on screen, just to make it easier to remember

    Would have preferred you to review the 7 seater version. For that low range, why buy the 5 seater, no advantage, there's lots of better options out there

  • @paulmelamel
    @paulmelamel 2 года назад +2

    Definitely needs a bigger battery option

    Short of a hundred miles of official range I would consider if it had 270 miles as that equates to 220 in real range. Come on let’s have a some real worth while range.

    This actually looks very family friendly 7 seater… 😮

    I was considering this as a new taxi but that poor range would cause me huge anxiety from minute one.

    the battery is WAY too small ! ! ! We need twice the range ! ! !

    Alot of comments regarding the range being an issue , apparently the average mileage daily for cars in the UK is 20 miles (7400 per year) I would suggest that for most people the range would be more than enough.

      @CJMVector321190 Год назад +1

      Yep for me i recon 5-6 150 mile round trips a year plus 5-6 longer 200-250 mile trips mostly in spring and summer. All else is less than 80 miles a day i recon. But the charging network for those slight longer trips is insufficient now with numbers of EVs this needs 200miles all weathers is the magic number i recon. We need destination chargers in supermarkets 7kw ones i mean not 1-2 but 50+ those massive roof sizes could have solar installed. Then you can get smaller battery cheaper cars with small top ups as you go.

      You're missing the point and don't seem to know how averages work. By your analogy a 50 mile battery range would also work for most taking into account those average, this is not how it works in real life. Also, there's an issue on price, this car is about 85% the cost of a Tesla Model 3 (entry level) yet has less than 50% the battery range. And the fact you have to charge half an hour for a range of 150 miles (or way less) also is an important factor. Also take into account the charging network which at this point, at will remain so for a while, is NOT at all suited for longer ranges. Basically, best to plan out trips longer than 100 miles or you'll be in trouble. I would suggest you think about more factors before you comment.

      Our early BMW i3 has a range of circa 60 miles , it’s very seldom we need that range.
      It’s horses for courses. Yep vast majority of U.K. drivers daily drive is under 40 miles.

      It's 85% the price of a model 3 tesla but with less than 50% battery capacity of said tesla. I think this should tell you enough.

      We have a 2019 long wheelbase diesel version - in the back it has a single USB port in the back of the centre console. It also has a cigarette lighter power socket on the left side next to the cup holders you can use for a USB power adapter.

    When you Honk Lock your car it literally makes me HURT. ….BAD
    ☹ ☹
    Please lock your car quietly.
    Here’s how:
    Press Lock and Unlock on Fob together for 2-4 Seconds.
    This should turn lights off
    (Check with Dealer Service Dept if necessary, as some cars might be
    slightly different)
    Cars lock and arm Equally as Well without the Honk!
    Thanks!
