Abandoned Dog Sleeps On Snow For Days Until a Tourist Spots Her | Howl Of A Dog

  • This dog was found abandoned in front of a hotel, in a mountain pass in Northern Romania. With temperatures dropping to minus 20°C (-4°F), Indy slept outside. And when there was a bit of sun, she would curl up on the snow and just sleep there. The owner of the hotel kept chasing her away, fearing that she would scare the tourists and he instructed his employees to not give her any food. Luckily, one of the tourists saw her and he then contacted us at @Howl Of A Dog . Not only was he determined to not leave the resort until he had found a solution to save Indy, but he bought a crate and warm blanket to keep her warm during the cold nights, fed her every day and, in the end, after he got in touch with us, he traveled more than 500 km to bring her into our care.
    ***UPDATE: Indy was adopted by a family in the United States: www.howlofadog.org/indy

      Indeed! Animals got the short end of the stick when "life" was being doled out on planet earth... Some people are just pure evil - to abandon an animal in the freezing cold, no where to go, sleeping on snow! To top it all off, the hotel owner instructs people not to feed him... You have to be one heartless SOB to say that whilst you're sleeping in a warm, comfy bed - after a hot meal!

They rescue dogs, cats, rabbits, horses and others, including wildlife, from certain death. These people are first responders, veterinarians, shelter staff and volunteers, law enforcement workers, and every day human angels who initiate rescues, foster parents, and adopting animal parents. There are millions of them throughout the world. Last but not least, are those who donate to shelters and sanctuaries. Rather than judging all people guilty, consider sending a donation of money or your time to any of the possibilities above. No donation is too small.

      Here, the most important thing is the dog and it went rescued, cared for, trained and it is in it's way to a happy, healthy and loving life that she rightfully deserves. I thank and bless the good hearted tourist, but it does not matter who helped the dog, she was and is being helped and loved and THIS is the only thing that really matters.

      It’s very easy to say that the person who abandoned the dog is cruel and heartless, but you have to look at both perspectives here. some people simply cannot afford to have a dog anymore. that doesn’t necessarily mean that abandoning the dog would be the best decision, but you have to do what you have to do. it doesn’t make them cruel. the dog was lucky and loved enough to be dropped off near this hotel and in this populated area where it could get help and food. but the same way the tourist wasn’t able to adopt the dog because he had other pets, the person who left the dog by the hotel would’ve had their own reason for doing so. and if you were referring to the owner of the hotel, then yes, I agree. would be wrong of him to not allow her any food and to chase her away.

      What a sweetie! I'd have adopted her. How could anyone leave a helpless dog out in the snow, the elements like that? She didn"t look in bad condition and maybe the owners just left her at the hotel or nearby. I often wonder, sometimes, though, if anything happened to the owner/s snd the dog just waited for them to return or wandered off for help, or was just lost. It's great this good samaritan took her in. Hope it all works out for them. Many Blessings!

    Compassion and understanding is something we could all learn to work on, rather than just giving up on animals and people because we feel we are possibly bored or tired of our duties. When we adopt or take care care of something it is for life.
    It's refreshing how this beautiful man took the time and had consideration for something outside of himself, to give this dog the chance of living a decent life, well done.

The difference between humans and animals are, human beings can talk, dogs can't. Just admit, people are selfish as hell. You know those people knew it was too cold for the dog to be sleeping outside in that weather for those many days. If it's too cold for human beings it's too cold for the dog. Why? He did not assault the dog! It is not HIS negligence. Just because a dog lingers around your property doesn’t make it your responsibility! Taking in a stray dog? While maintaining a hospitality business with guests possibly being allergic to dog hair? Are you out of your mind? This is Romania, it’s not like they are living like millionaires over there and you want to publicly shame a hotel that might get out of business because of this. You are talking revenge for a dog but aren’t considering multiple staffers to lose their job/livelihood ... Get a reality check. The world is cruel, yes, but you can’t expect everybody to be a hero and you shouldn’t shame anybody else other than the former owner.

      @alborzalvan5869 4 года назад +1

      @@laleluilu the world isn't cruel,,, its the people that commit the cruelty. That's the reality,,, its always about business or games. People like to do business and people like to play games. To ignore is one thing and to be ignorant is another. If a person is being knock down by a car, do we help the person or do we just walk away? When everyone do their part in helping the distress animal it will clear off depressing scene of dying animals on the streets,,,,
