Really informative video bro. I have booked ax5 petrol 7 seater variant. I have 2 other cars(both diesel) for city. So majorly xuv will be for highways. My run would be around 6000-7000kms per year. Is my choice for petrol is right?
Great insights. Wanted your expert views on AX5 Petrol Manual. My daily running is 60 kms. Diesel waiting period is too long. Is it worth investing in Petrol model.
Depends,if you are someone who travels with family a lot and goes to hills or ghats more often, get the Diesel. And 60km daily means 2000 per month and 25000 an year. Petrol gives 8-9max. So yearly running for petrol will be more than 2.5lakh, diesel would be 1.6 lakh per year

Hey man, appreciate ur efforts, vlogs are interesting, and also ur presentation skills are superb, booked ax7at petrol base variant, hope you will give glimpse of the car,and please suggest if it is fine 👍
Petrol AT is a terrific car but gives terrible mileage. Heard it's something around 9kmpl on average. If you are fine with that its one heck of an SUV.
The real world mileage makes a big difference - petrol I guess gives 5-6kmpl and diesel around 11kmpl in real world - which could change the calculations
@@vijay-ei8xz lol. 14 In petrol AT.. It was diesel bro. Petrol gave him 10.8 when he drove it on highway only and also on cruise control most of the time. you wont get more than 7-8 in city.
Very well said. For all the people who are saying the Petrol mileage in real world would be even less, he just gave a relative example. My Petrol xuv700 is giving an average of 9 or 10 in city and 12 or 13 in highway. Provided I drive within the rpm limit. So as long as the usage is less than 1000kms per month, Petrol is an ideal choice. And the diesel doesn’t have the refinement of Petrol. Period.
It's been 10 months of your comment , just wanted to check if you are getting decent milege or not. I have heard as engine gets stable milege increases. Have you experienced some increment in milege? Or it is still same?

The ex show room price of diesel is 60,000 more than the petrol, if you take into account, additional insurance, TCS and RTO registration etc. it is 1,20,000 more expensive.
DEF cost is only ₹1000 rupees And why you add ₹10,000 extra we don’t do service at every 1000KMs…. Petrol engine Service cost is only ₹3000 to ₹4000 cheaper than Diesel engines per year.
Bhai @ 8:34 Gadi agar puri saal Mee 10000 gumi tho 1 service he hoga tho extra 1000 per service means 1000 hai na 10000 kahase agaya. I think u should correct it def 7000+1000= 8000.
This is absolutely incorrect and far from reality. There is no way a 200hp petrol engine could give 13.5kmpl. Even a tin can like creta(1.5L, 113bhp) with half the power doesnt give 13.5 mileage in real world. Just look at the Thar mileage, hardly 11, with 150hp engine. And about environment, there is no difference between petrol and diesel in BS6 era, because of SCR tech in BS6 diesel XUV700. Real advantages of petrol engine: 1. Fun to drive because of power delivery mechanism. 2. Petrol engines are light, so handling will be slightly better in petrol engine. (less nose dive) 3. Better NVH. 4. Less restrictions from government in future. 5. No dpf issues in high altitude hilly areas. Please do proper research for next video. There are tons of advantages with Diesel as well.
you think a 2.0 engine with such power will give 13-14 kmpl? 😂🤷♂️ creta is a compact suv with a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine and is 600 kgs lighter than xuv700 all suvs of this size with petrol engine be it 1.5 and here it is 2.0 huge engine give 7-8 kmpl in city and 9-11 max on highways some examples are hector dct , compass dct , innova crysta and fortuner petrol , tucson petrol they all give this much only and so will xuv700 in petrol
Hi Joji, appreciate you helping us by bringing all very relevant videos. In thus video the car price difference for petrol and diesel engine is Rs. 60k, but you hv mentioned Rs. 1.25L. Thanks once again for all the videos of XUV700
Buying a car should be based on the needs. Owning a petrol SUV is like owning an elephant. Better spend more and buy a diesel one to get the most out of the cost you are paying for.
Good Analysis Joji. I have one query if you can help. I have booked AX7 petrol manual. Can I custom fit the Sony 3D system which is available on the luxury model
No, such a big size petrol car could not give 13.5KMPL. That would be a theory part. Better check with the real number with the guys who is using petrol XUV700.
Ye video bana ne ka ek aalag reason hai...its all about that conclusion of what to buy...suppose u will not get 13.5 in petrol so same applies with diesel..vaha bhi tohh 16.8 nahi aayega...
@@JojoWheelie I understand your logic and really appreciate it, you are giving some hints that helps to choose the variant. It is a great work of course.! What I meant here is, going with real time practical numbers may change the whole logic. Because, my petrol Fiat Punto is giving 9-10 KMPL on highways if i maintain 100 KMPH. If I push 120 - 130 KMPH here & there, then that will drastically reduced to 7-8 KMPL. When we are driving on NH the speed may differ time to time, keeping on mind we need to go with practical scenarios. Yes agree, the same would be applicable for both petrol as well as diesel variants. But again, the maximum efficiency curve for both the variants will differ for sure and that exact numbers we don't know. There we should not make any mistake. Hope this helps.! Once again appreciating your effort. 👏👏👏 cheers.
Petrol mileage will never be 13.5 in city. Average difference on 1500 kms per month will be 60000 per year basis mileage difference and fuel cost. Incorrect info my friend.
Your assumption of 13kmpl for petrol will not be correct in real world. However end result of your calculation is correct as difference between petrol and diesel mileage will be in range of 3-4 kmpl. With this difference one has to drive roughly 50k to recover additional cost of Diesel engine.
As per mahindra maintenance of diesel is 49 paise per km and for petrol its 50 paise so maintenance of diesel is less. Also ARAI fuel consumption is 13.5 and 16.8 but if you look real world fuel consumption of turbo petrol and turbo diesel difference would be much more. Petrol will consume more more fuel. Refer to auto car real world fuel efficiency of thar petrol and diesel. Pollution of diesel in bs3 was much more than petrol but in bs6 its almost same, because of which delhi govt has filed a case for reverting 10 years ban on diesel. But I agree that petrol is way smoother and much more fun to drive in case of xuv 700
Aesa hi mg hector k bare me kaha gaya tha.company kuchh bhi claim kare, suv me petrol ka matlab hathi palna hai.real world me jab car utre tab dekhna 7 8 se upar nhi niklta.

You are really providing each and every detail of 700. And that will help us today as well as in future too. So Thank you 😀 Two small doubt:- 1: Can we turn on and off the AWD feature? 2: What is the company claimed milage of Diesel AWD, is this same as FWD drive milage (16.8kmpL)?
Appreciate if we can get any AWD reviews done. What is the company claimed efficiency of AWD? Seen in some video where AWD can be enabled on push of button in the car :-| may be the video was wrong.

Sir I need a clarification yesterday I went to one of the car exhibitions where xuv700 was there as a demo vehicle and I asked the on road price of the car the lady authorise to the car said base variant is off abt 18.5lakhs and top end with 31.8lakhs in Bangalore I was really surprised because as I saw in the net base variant is 12lakhs and 3lakhs more for on road so starting is 15 lakhs around and she said 18lakhs so is the price she said is true or not sir?
Your presentation is good. However brother here my two cents. 1. Please be brutally honest. There is no way XUV700 would be delivering this mileage for petrol and diesel engine in real conditions. 2. The mileage difference between Petrol and diesel is very high in case of SUVs than in sedan or hatchback. It would be around 4-5 km/l for XUV700. Thus the diesel car would cover price difference within 2-3 years easily assuming price gap between petrol and diesel is roughly constant. 3. Thus, per year running is not relevant for XUV700 to choose between petrol or diesel. All other points except mileage are valid.
The real concern is for Metro Cities petrol makes more sense where the car is doing more city crawls , where the DPF will create more troubles , i was surprised to find out from a dealership the automatic variants have received almost 50:50 bookings , though in manual diesel diesel bookings were way higher then petrol
@@MrSunnytolani XUV700 has adblue so it’s comparatively less than the ones you see without Adblue vehicles. Mumbai and Pune dealers have received more than 60% diesel than petrol. Let Mahindra release official figures then you will come to know. Petrol engine is more refined and enjoyable to drive but mileage will be single digit in cities.
Looking at the following
DEF : 7K per year
Insurance : 1.5 -2.0 K per year
Service : 2-3 K per year
Life of Car in NCR
Diesel : 10 yr
Petrol : 15 yr
Hence faster depreciation, due to smaller life cycle

Hello jojo i want to book xuv 700 ax7 variant first tell me which is better petrol or diesel. My run is 16000 in one year but there are less highways more into city. So please guide me the best. Waiting for your reply
Petrol only
Sir will automatic brake apply if we press brake manually
No
Will there be Lane Keep Assist available in AX7 petrol mt ....please tell
Yes

Yes mid
Which is more powerful and fast diesel or petrol?
Which one has more resale value?
No idea sir
Its not only about running more or less, its about power also, Petrol engines are less powerful compared to diesel engines
But yaha ulta hai..u will find more power in petrol
Its not true for xuv700 due to high hp and also torque, which is more important. Even automatic we will not feel any lag.
Really informative video bro.
I have booked ax5 petrol 7 seater variant. I have 2 other cars(both diesel) for city. So majorly xuv will be for highways. My run would be around 6000-7000kms per year.
Is my choice for petrol is right?
Petrol is best for you considering you will be driving on highways moreover less Vibration.
@@srini4s thanks mate 🙂
Yes 100% petrol
@@JojoWheelie thanks bro
Great insights. Wanted your expert views on AX5 Petrol Manual. My daily running is 60 kms. Diesel waiting period is too long. Is it worth investing in Petrol model.
Depends,if you are someone who travels with family a lot and goes to hills or ghats more often, get the Diesel. And 60km daily means 2000 per month and 25000 an year. Petrol gives 8-9max. So yearly running for petrol will be more than 2.5lakh, diesel would be 1.6 lakh per year
Jojo bhai does the AX7 Automatic variant (Without the Luxury Pack) comes with Auto Hold function? Can you please enquire about this in your showroom...
No it doesn't... It is a part of luxury pack
Hi Jo jo...Would appreciate if you can make a video on AX7 DIESEL MANUAL DRIVE , are we getting ZIP ZAP ZOOM in it ? What ADAS Features can be used or cant be used compared to AT ? Basically full hands on MANUAL DRIVE Vs AT Features ADAS and Drive Modes
I have booked ax5, mannual, diesel variant, at Indore. Kindly shoot a in depth vdo on this variant please.

CORRECT and PERFECT calculation Dont think about pollution and 10 Year ban in Delhi NCR,

20 ,30 km per day approx
Jojo bro... really ur videos r very nice. Can you please advise I want to book Xuv700 Ax5 seven seater petrol manual, My yearly running around 7000 km & that also(50% highway 🛣️, 50% village area road or city) but diesel has Driving mode , Petrol doesn't have. Which would be better to buy petrol manual and diesel manual ???
And what is the disadvantage of not having zip, zap, & zoom mode in Xuv700 ax5 seven seater petrol manual ?
Awaiting for your response...plz reply .
Sir I'm facing same situation.. Please suggest which one you'll buy diesel Or petrol
Same same calculation...kaam.chalate ho petrol lo jayada chalate ho diesel lo
Hi jojo. Your videos are very informative, easy to understand.
I have a query. I own xuv700 ax7 petrol manual. My car is giving very poor milage of 6.5 kmpl. plz let me know what could be the reason behind this, and what should I do?
Sir after 1st service it will give a max of 10km per liter on highway...drive normaly, use less breaking or aggressive acceleration plus 32psi pressure in tyre
Maintaining all these things but still facing the milage issue.
Sir service center hi last option hai
Petrol is registered for 15 years and Diesel is registered for 10 years.
Sir ride Mai best kaunsi hai petrol or diesel
Petrol is more fun
A petrol car is anyway more fun to drive, but if you want to carry heavy loads a Diesel is better, also if you run a taxi diesel will be cheaper.
Bhai mai confused hu ki Ax 7l petrol at lu ya fir diesel at
Use ke hisab se dekho

Hey man, appreciate ur efforts, vlogs are interesting, and also ur presentation skills are superb, booked ax7at petrol base variant, hope you will give glimpse of the car,and please suggest if it is fine 👍
Petrol AT is a terrific car but gives terrible mileage. Heard it's something around 9kmpl on average. If you are fine with that its one heck of an SUV.
@@archismanadhikary1548 thanks,Yeah milage is single digit, sadly
hi, i have purchased ax7 at petrol last week , its average is 13-13.5 on highway and around 10 in city , go for it petrol car is terrific.
The real world mileage makes a big difference - petrol I guess gives 5-6kmpl and diesel around 11kmpl in real world - which could change the calculations
Sir jo bhi milage aaye...uska difference 2 3 km per liter ka hi hota hai..baaki i am just here to help
I don't think it will give 5-6 one RUclipsr has already tested tank to tank km test which gave him 14kmpl for AT petrol
@@vijay-ei8xz that was for diesel, he tested petrol in Highway and got only 10.8kmpl
@@vijay-ei8xz lol. 14 In petrol AT.. It was diesel bro. Petrol gave him 10.8 when he drove it on highway only and also on cruise control most of the time.
you wont get more than 7-8 in city.
@@JojoWheelie thanks, i appreciate your intent. But overall delta will be higher, given the low mileage of petrol, IMHO.
Petrol is better than diesel because i have sat in a diesel vehicle before and it smells and the fuel does not process properly
Period.
Thank u so much for your valuable feedback.
It's been 10 months of your comment , just wanted to check if you are getting decent milege or not. I have heard as engine gets stable milege increases.
Have you experienced some increment in milege? Or it is still same?

Otherwise u have lots of diehard fans like me. Cheers.
The ex show room price of diesel is 60,000 more than the petrol, if you take into account, additional insurance, TCS and RTO registration etc. it is 1,20,000 more expensive.
Very well explained ✌️u have very good knowledge thanks
Thank u so much
Thanks for ur explanation
Diesel is costlier by 60K than petrol engine (ex showroom).. not 1.25Lakh..
Bhai lekin practically 1-25 extra hi padega on road
DEF cost is only ₹1000 rupees
And why you add ₹10,000 extra we don’t do service at every 1000KMs….
Petrol engine Service cost is only ₹3000 to ₹4000 cheaper than Diesel engines per year.
Bhai @ 8:34
Gadi agar puri saal Mee 10000 gumi tho 1 service he hoga tho extra 1000 per service means 1000 hai na 10000 kahase agaya. I think u should correct it def 7000+1000= 8000.
Good one brother, I have subscribed it
Thank you so much
Bhai agar awd chahiye ,to phir kya kare ,we don't have option , please reply
Yes phir only diesel hi bacha vo bhi auto
Good comparison between petrol diesel engine
Thank u sir
This is absolutely incorrect and far from reality. There is no way a 200hp petrol engine could give 13.5kmpl. Even a tin can like creta(1.5L, 113bhp) with half the power doesnt give 13.5 mileage in real world. Just look at the Thar mileage, hardly 11, with 150hp engine. And about environment, there is no difference between petrol and diesel in BS6 era, because of SCR tech in BS6 diesel XUV700.
Real advantages of petrol engine:
1. Fun to drive because of power delivery mechanism.
2. Petrol engines are light, so handling will be slightly better in petrol engine. (less nose dive)
3. Better NVH.
4. Less restrictions from government in future.
5. No dpf issues in high altitude hilly areas.
Please do proper research for next video. There are tons of advantages with Diesel as well.
Very true. Totally incorrect and very very amateurish video.
you think a 2.0 engine with such power will give 13-14 kmpl? 😂🤷♂️ creta is a compact suv with a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine and is 600 kgs lighter than xuv700
all suvs of this size with petrol engine be it 1.5 and here it is 2.0 huge engine give 7-8 kmpl in city and 9-11 max on highways some examples are hector dct , compass dct , innova crysta and fortuner petrol , tucson petrol they all give this much only and so will xuv700 in petrol
Bro diesel more powerful and fast or petrol?
Will appreciate if you can explain why 4x4 or AWD is not offered in petrol?
If we want to drive in hills then always go for diseal because of torque
Hi Joji, appreciate you helping us by bringing all very relevant videos. In thus video the car price difference for petrol and diesel engine is Rs. 60k, but you hv mentioned Rs. 1.25L. Thanks once again for all the videos of XUV700
Mr Jojo , did you provide us incorrect data ?
The price difference is 60k but the difference on road might come 1.25L because of increase in tax....I think
On road difference is only 75000 not 125000
@@ankitpm1 Ok bro
He's not wrong. Depending on the variant the difference goes upto 2L, I booked mine couple days ago
Above 8500 Km a year Diesel
Less than 8000 km a year Petrol
Yess
Buying a car should be based on the needs. Owning a petrol SUV is like owning an elephant. Better spend more and buy a diesel one to get the most out of the cost you are paying for.
Also i didn't get the point of registration value of petrol being more than diesel
5 year extra tohh hai hi
Your way of expressing is awesome dear👌 . Keep it up

Good Analysis Joji. I have one query if you can help. I have booked AX7 petrol manual. Can I custom fit the Sony 3D system which is available on the luxury model
No. You can only add the Sony sub (available as an accessory) but not the ceiling speakers.
Thanks for video i have 1 doubts if i buy petrol after some year can i fitted cng kit in xuv700
👏👏👏 cheers.
1000 rs per service extra...... doubt it..... atleast 6-7000 difference in service... plus resale in future for petrol is better

Sir xuv700 a7 petrol manual luxury is not available in the showroom please guide
Petrol mileage will never be 13.5 in city. Average difference on 1500 kms per month will be 60000 per year basis mileage difference and fuel cost. Incorrect info my friend.
My daily running in a city is 40 km per day. Please tell me which one is better for me petrol xuv or diesel.
Price difference 1,25,000/- kaha se laye,
ex showroom price me to sirf 60,000/- ka hi difference he..... 🤔
Bhai on road aathe aathe 1 lac upper difference aajata hai
Your assumption of 13kmpl for petrol will not be correct in real world.
However end result of your calculation is correct as difference between petrol and diesel mileage will be in range of 3-4 kmpl. With this difference one has to drive roughly 50k to recover additional cost of Diesel engine.
Jojo Bhai 10000 pr 10 ltr DEF consume hoga jiska price approx 700 rs hai .
Naaki 7000 rs ye aapne sahi nahi btaya
Sir total karcha...1 lakh km ka
Why Rs 10000 per year extra for maintenance of diesel engine??
How to remove electric seat reminder please make video
Ma'am alreday made one..have a look

Sir I need a clarification yesterday I went to one of the car exhibitions where xuv700 was there as a demo vehicle and I asked the on road price of the car the lady authorise to the car said base variant is off abt 18.5lakhs and top end with 31.8lakhs in Bangalore I was really surprised because as I saw in the net base variant is 12lakhs and 3lakhs more for on road so starting is 15 lakhs around and she said 18lakhs so is the price she said is true or not sir?
RTO tax in banglore is ~4 lakh
While in some other states ~2 lakh

@@rakshithkumarms9450 maybe for her upcoming vacation
Sir its all about the road tax in that state..even in rajasthan its too much
Your presentation is good.
Extremely true 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Totally agree 💯
Thank u so much sir
Can you do the same for automatic variants?
