Those multi colored parts look so awesome and I'm glad they included those. I actually hate foil stickers because I always make creases when I try to apply them so I usually resort to paint.
I recently build an older HG (Wing 0), it was rough to build a HG with more primitive parts. It was also made worse at least seemingly ,since I had just build a couple of RGs. I really hope this one gets a nice RG in time.
I like the anime and mobile suit designs; I think they've done a great job. Seems like Bandai might be trying to draw more girls to the franchise, or appeal to an already existing female fan base, which is all good.
The design of the Aerial has grown on me A LOT since we first saw it. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the RE/100 and eventual MG compare to this one. Are you planning on getting the RE/100?
Ordered mine after seeing some people review it. Looking on the site it seemed pretty mid, but then I saw the full design in a review video combined with seeing the gundam in action in the anime, I just fell in love and had to get it.
Not until this video that I would realize that I got the lower knee part as the calf part. (Installed the part it in reverse) I was always wondering: "why I can't bend the knee like in the pictures?" 🤣
After getting it, I just noticed why the box feels different, it's the art style. It looks like as if someone painted the gundam on the cover complete with Gauche like patterns at the edges, all other covers from other universe's had that sharp border, this one, does not, IBO as well looks like the background was painted

You forgot a crucial design aspect of these mecha: Plot Armor All jokes aside I do agree. Sometimes I feel they go a lil' too far with "the rule of cool" just to make a design aspect stand out.
I just acquired one...the only disappointment is that with all of the stickers, they should have had some for the lower part of the chest with the smoke sections because they kind of don't block enough of the internals.

I suppose so, but my focus is on the models as model kits and imo that stuff can be interesting but doesn’t effect the quality or aesthetic value of the kit. Other channels do cover stuff like that so if that’s what you’re looking for I’m sure you can find it! 👍
Haven't ordered HG Aerial yet since I rarely,if not never, buy kits of starter Gundams. Though I pre-ordered FRS Suletta instead since I'm quite interested in making a roster of FRS female kits.
I'm thinking of getting a High Grade Aerial as my first gunpla because of the anime lol, I have no prior knowledge/experience when it comes to building gunplas, so I have a few questions, for Aerial, is it easy to build for a new and beginner builder? Do I have to buy a separate action base stand or does the building kit come with one?
As someone that chose HG Aerial as my first Gunpla build (I have no experience building Gunplas but had built small Nanoblocks before), it's beginner friendly in my opinion (as long as you have the tools like nippers and tweezers)! As for the action base stand, you'll have to buy one separately as this kit doesn't come with one :(
Only question I have is why the red eyes and back camera unless this suit goes all exam system or hades or Alice aside from a option why have them there?

probably both, gundam has had a large female fanbase since the beginning, hell tomino even said that female fans saved the series back in 1979

funny enough the kit came with red stickers for the eyes and head cameras which is considered a spoiler for the future episodes of the anime.
Just reminds me of the HG age 1 Gundam having a flat piece for the chest unused all the way until season 3 for the Age 1 flat/Glansa
