A thousand likes! Dude this was so fun! I loved seeing the behind the scenes. And yes it is generally advised to activate one's brain. Thank you again for such thoughtful gifts! ❤ PS... I've literally never seen someone thumb a ratchet wrench like that 🤯
Never? I thought that was just normal practice. Sometimes it's more convenient than taking off and extension, sometimes you have a better grip on the socket than you'd have on the nut or bolt, sometimes the fastener is inaccessible... all kinds of reasons you might end up doing this. Especially if you don't have an impact or can't use one on the thing you're spinning.
Holy sh... I'm truly at a loss for words here. I'll reply to everyone once I've finished nursing my Christmas hangover, but I just wanted to say that I'm beyond flattered by this overwhelming support from everyone. It's a wonderful feeling, and it means the absolute world to me. Thank you all so much ❤ More videos to come! Merry Christmas!
Holy hell mate, i was done watching the video and looked at the subscriber and comment count expecting several thousand, its a crime that it wasnt like that, you go man.
Very glad that the Inheritance Machining in my algorithm pulled me here. Such a great video from such a small channel! I more or less randomly stumbled across IM, so don't watch many machining channels, but this one gets my sub. Very similar vibes.
Great content, with great presentation and 'story telling'. Came from Inheritance Machining's community post. New sub from me! I hope you get a ton of views and subs as you deserve it based on the quality of this vid. I also like the little homage to different channels, This Old Tony's 'hand cutting' stock, Blondiehacks with the sarky on-screen text when the camera view was slightly obscured etc..
Just a little tip, whenever you file or hand sand something in the lathe, make sure to cover up the ways (is that the right term in english? I'm talking about the tracks where your toolpost and tail stock are moving about). Otherwise the dust might get in-between and act like sandpaper, thus you get more ware and tare
Well done Erik, new subscriber here and a long time subscriber to IM. I look forward to seeing what else you create. I too have been inspired by Brandon, but I haven't yet finished that project, nor filmed any of it. Merry Christmas!
I watched this thinking "O my god an English version of This Old Tony!" looks like others had the same thought. Wonder if "This Old Basil" it taken... Subscribed!!!!
Combine the engaging content, editing and machining and stir well. Then add to taste, 3D printing and laser cutting, mix well for 20 minutes and you have successfully baked a new subscriber.
Awesome video, you've got a new subscriber and fan! And any friend of Inheritance Machining is A+ in my book. By the way, do you realize that the name of your channel has a great acronym: E.R.I.K.
TOT clone. I guess if you enjoy it, good for you. I find it hard to enjoy with the thought of TOT in the back of.my mind half the time. IMO,let us see your own original flavour. That would be a lot better, and true to yourself. My 2c.

Clammy hands are grippy!

@@LifeInJamblesI too thought it as common practice.

More videos to come!
Merry Christmas!
What a strange episode of This old Tony.
Ngl. Inheritance in the title brought me here. Your narration, editing and content kept me. Instant subscribe right here.
Merry Christmas!
The this old tony nods help as well.
Editing is impeccable for a channel of this size. People get 100x this size and don't have such a clean edit
Channel Size has nothing to do with it unfortunately
In the mean time, theres a chick using her cell phone trying on thongs on youtube and received 8million views with 3million subs.
Holy hell mate, i was done watching the video and looked at the subscriber and comment count expecting several thousand, its a crime that it wasnt like that, you go man.
Same here. Definitely a lot more people need to subscribe to this channel.
Finding another great machining youtube channel is a great Christmas gift indeed

I am really glad RUclips randomly popped you up in my timeline. Top-tier content, my good sir!
This.😊

Yes, the term is "ways" or " bed ways"
that would apply to hand sanding, not filing. There is no "dust" when filing.
When I saw you put the swarf in, I thought "yep, that's Brandon's milling machine"! 😂😂
Well done Erik, new subscriber here and a long time subscriber to IM. I look forward to seeing what else you create. I too have been inspired by Brandon, but I haven't yet finished that project, nor filmed any of it. Merry Christmas!
This Old Tony’s English brother from another mother? 20:28

A more morbid combo between inheritance machining and this old tony
WELL DONE. You just proved that you don’t need a massive shop and expensive equipment to make something so beautiful. Well done indeed
The algorithm led me here, probably because you put Inheritance Machining in the title. Either way, now I have another machining channel to watch!
The best Christmas present ever - thanks for another upload!

I really like the lathe moments with the music..definetly a nice touch brother
Do I spy some influence from This Old Tony's editing style, or is this just a case of convergent humor?

Another "Maker's Secret Santa" ring in the making?
Combine the engaging content, editing and machining and stir well. Then add to taste, 3D printing and laser cutting, mix well for 20 minutes and you have successfully baked a new subscriber.
2:35 Ah, the elusive "Sanding Hammer". I've been looking for one, but unable to find them.
Beautiful
New subscriber. Fantastic video.
Mimicry is the purest form of flattery 👌 welcome This Young Tony. We hope you have a better upload schedule than the OG these days
Any friend of Brandon's is a friend of mine, and you know that chamfers separate us from the animals. Merry Christmas.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the lathe model that you have?
Cool project!
My first video of this channel and I must say it is - IF Inheritance Machining was British
There are a lot of This Old Tony vibes though.
Very cool!
4:40 guitar jumpscare
great video!
Mmmm, boiled aluminum, just like mum used to make!
The small milling machine..... Is up. If I remember correctly the same one Joe pi did
Never mind. I guess I should have watched the rest of the video first. Joe pie makes several miniature machines. They're fantastic
Cool.
Liked and subscribed.
Some tot vibes.
Am I the only one who thinks that the engine sound is from a VW Diesel engine?? 😂
It's Look Mum Not This Old Tony
Hydrogen and Oxygen bubbles!

The video format is very clearly inspired by This Old Tony. But the jokes need a lot more work.
