At first the performance kinda of disappoints me for the price, but it does seemingly fit nice with its competition. The Panamera 4, BMW 840i GC, and Maserati Ghibli S seem like the performance level Mercedes targeted and it seems to fit in well with these cars.
Maserati Ghibli S fail's in terms on reliability and overall tech / interior / exterior design. They sadly have made no real effort to up their lineup progress

All of that shiny black plastic trim looks cheap in my opinion, and just wait until a month into owning the vehicle when you find all the dust it collects. I think Mercedes has gone cheaper with their interiors. And yet they still up charge customers.

@Prime Artemis the IS500 is not in the same category as this vehicle. This is based on the E-Class. The IS500 is in the same category as the C-Class. So different price points there bud.

Sorry but 100-120k for the base AMG is NOT affordable and dealer markups make it worse. Car is nice but felt underpowered compared to my M3 that cost way less. I would wait for the GT 63 AMG to arrive with turbo V8 and car shortage to end and used one to show up for discount.

That 0-60 is about the same as a TLX Type S. I'd expect an AMG GT to be quicker.

The GT43's low roof means that tall passengers will have a hard time resting comfortably, even when sitting in the front.

4.9 Seconds for an AMG that costs minium of 90k and as tested 100k? No thank you. BMW M5 competition 110k 617hp, 0-60 in 3.1 so yeah I don't get it.
This is not a real AMG. This is more like a 850i M sport.For the M5 competition you have to compare it to the E63s.

The Cadillac CT5 Blackwing is around the same price point as this and makes 668hp. And it looks just as good.
