  • The Wye Valley Line from Chepstow to Monmouth closed in 1959. The popular tv series Railway Roundabout filmed the special train on closing day, here is their short film of the day.

    Excellent, thank you! We live on the Kymin, which looked down on Troy Station and is in the background at 3:43. I would have been ten years old then...

    M50 Motorway? That terminated outside Ross - on - Wye.
