- Today we're going to be taking a look at foraging for the edible wild plant known as Sweet Woodruff. This one is often used as a substitute for vanilla or tonka bean and works incredibly well in sweet dishes and cocktails or even smoothies :)
We'll look at all of the key features to correctly identify this species when you're out foraging as well as the potential edible lookalikes that the sweet woodruffcould be confused with.
Lastly we'll be talking through some of my favourite ways to cook with and consume my foraged sweet woodruff from apple pie cocktails to sweet woodruff ice cream. I'm certain there's plenty more recipes we can use this in and I'd absolutely love to hear yours,

Happy Foraging
One of my fave plants to forage. Magical looking plant
it really is, it always amazes me just how vibrant it looks
This my favorite smell in the universe. I smelled it on the side of a dirt road as a child and obsessed until I found what it was when I was 17
these kinds of things are incredible at bringing back memories.
Thank you! 👍 So much we have 'to hand' that we can use.
So true!
Pretty little plant indeed.
It really is!
My surname comes from this plant
that's lovely :)
