Shut the front door! It's SO easy and SOOOO beautiful. When I saw the pic, I thought you had watercolored the entire thing with color. It's stunning!!!! Thank you!
Jen, I've been making cards for 20+ years and I'm still learning thanks to you. You come up with some fabulous ideas....like the one today. I will CASE this card in the near future. I'm making cards for CARD CARE CONNECTION and I think this will make a great addition. Hopefully it will bring joy to someone dealing with cancer. Bless you.
One of my all-time favorite technique videos; I have done several "variations on the theme" :-) and plan to do many more. Thanks and God bless you
I loved seeing this technique so much I started to gather up the inks and spritzer and then looked for the perfect stamp (and I have hundreds!). I could not find one with the open petals that make Jennifer's design so beautiful. Now I'm bummed because I need to buy a new stamp. LOL
I love listening to your voice, how you instruct and I love your card inspiration. Thank you from a newbie card maker!
This is one of my absolute favourites, it is stunning!

i have a couple of the straight dies and didnt know what to do with them! now i do! thank you.
Such great ideas, and that really looks like a fantastic release of stamps and dies. :)
I love love love this card. The vibrancy is awesome.
Wow, Jennifer I love the intensity of the blue and adding just a little bit of another color. It's beautiful.
Geez that’s an amazing tip on extending a stem!
Stunning results. This hydrangea stamp/die set is a favorite. Thank you for introducing it with such a beautiful technique. Looks like blue fingers are in my future!! We live on acid soil, so our hydrangeas are a beautiful blue color, perfect to replicate with this card idea. Thank you, as always, Jennifer. Oh, forgot to mention that I really appreciate the stem extension idea :)
Nice cards Jennifer. Thanks for sharing your knowledge & know how! Thanks for showing the new releases from Ellen as well!

Love your card and this technique is just wow. You are so creative.
Love It! I would probably rub the ink pad while the paper is on the craft sheet so I am not wasting ink that soaks into the white paper.

Love this technique!
Hi Jennifer. I just wanted to suggest an updated version of this lifting technique using distress oxides in place of the traditional distress inks in a future video. Thanks!
this is lovely!
Stunning!!
Awesome, as always!! 😍
very beautiful Jennifer, always like to see your name pop up on my feed , love your tutorials , thank you for sharing
This is brilliant!
love it well done
vraiment super ....👍
love! is there a reason you didn't use water color paper? or rather what's the reason? too much spreading?
Jennifer. I love watching your videos and I'm getting ready to sign up for a class. I have never made a card before. What class do you recommend taking first?
Hey there! Hope you're doing great! Absolutely love your videos.. wanted to ask you which cutting board or whatever it's called you use? And which ones are a good investment for beginners?
I love this technique, it is so pretty, however I would be a little worried about how much ink it would use. Maybe I can try this on small pieces of paper with small flowers.
+Bunny Hoyle it is worth it!
Hi I love all your videos
Do you get your embossing powders in bulk size? The containers are so full.
good job mom
Hi Jennifer does anyone make a straight die without stitching? Just for cutting a straight line.
You used a die to create interest around the colored piece/but it didn’t cut into the paper. How do you do that?
I noticed that the finished image has a somewhat speckled look. Is this part of the technique, or did you do something to get that look?
+deskjockie49 i was messy with my embossing powder lol
Could be this happen with distress oxide ink as well?
how do you always get soo much distress ink onto your paper? almost all of the tim holtz distress ink pads I bought won't even get NE a stamped image, let alone enough ink to cover the whole paper like that. I love this idea though, I'm still going to try it! TFS
+cristina jones gotta PUSH to get the color out that much. but it can be done! builds muscles :)
+cristina jones I always buy the reinker when I buy a distress stamp pad. If your pad is juicy, it's not hard to do this technique.
Can you use Distress Oxide ink for this technique?
i'm new to card making, in the watercolor and distress inks world. I worry that if I use distress inks on a card and the recipient handles them with moist hands, or the card ends up moist in some way, that the distress inks will come off the card and onto the recipient. Or that if I use distress inks to stamp a coordinating image on the envelope, that it will ruin with rain. Have you ever had anyone comment about problems with the distress ink on the finished product?
+LettieNugent.com no. once super dry it is ok.
oh good! Thanks!
+LettieNugent.com You can seal your distress inks with Judikins Micro Glaze or Tim Holtz makes one. They were out of Tim's when I ordered.
Thanks.
Do you find tha!t this technique just literally sucks way too much ink out of your ink pad? I would be concerned about that!
+Andrea La Vigne yes! andrea is right. these pads are meant to be loved. made in the US!
+Elizabeth Hansen I loved the way the flower looked after Jennifer did it, but I too am a bit like you and panic at the thought of using that much ink. I am such a baby about using my stuff, you know the story, if I use it all now, than I won't have it when I want it..... I just need let go and have some fun. Maybe we can try this together Elizabeth. LOL
Oh, I am so like you! haha! I get in a bunch of supplies and then am afraid to use them! We both need to jump in and go for it! I guess I have to remind myself that Ranger makes Distress Inks every day of the year, so I can always get more! AND I can buy reinkers! Let's do it!
+Jennifer McGuire Ink I guess in the back of my mind, I hear my elementary school art teacher, Miss Whitaker (God rest her soul), constantly reminding us students NOT to use markers on construction paper because the paper would just suck the ink into the paper and dry out the markers! Guess it's time to do away with that tape running in my brain and have some fun!!
The distress inks are great they have so much pigment inside and if they start to get thirsty you can use the distress refresh spray as normally the pads still have pigment but just need some juice 😊
Thank you, beautiful, yet the speed of this video does not give a novice any chance at keeping up!
First!
