    So I tested this design and worked wonderful inside , but not do well outside , I covered up two of the holes and added a dryer duct .

      Can you elaborate more? I’m about to make this.. what was the problem with three holes. I have a dryer duct on hand, how did you attach it to the bin?

      @@AndrewWade1 I made this and filled it with frozen water bottles. No screen needed and no melting ice dripping everywhere. It also keeps frozen for hours!

      Maybe just leave the Ice in the bags or those cooler blocks that you freeze maybe???

    Great idea but I wouldn't recommend this for indoors...what are you gonna do once all that ice starts melting inside?

    If you get the grass wet with a sprinkler or hose the grass down beforehand it'll keep the fog low to the ground without that contraption. I tried it and it works good.

    Instead of using ice, use many large bottles with frozen water and put them in instead.
    If you use normal ice it will melt very soon.

      Ice cubes probably have more surface area and cool the fog better than large bottles or even bags of ice...just a thought. I'm building one with a 5 gallon bucket and I will test it out both ways.

    Can someone plz answer the questions about what happens when the ice melts?? Doesn’t it completely leak out onto your floors??

      Yes, water will definitely start to run out as the ice melts. Not recommended for indoor use

    i did something similar to this, expect i attached hoses that retract and i can control the fog in a better direction and it worked great, it really gave my graveyard a better spooky feel and look.

    All these helpless people in the comments, lol. Use YOUR OWN brain people and be creative to find a solution for the melting ice etc. This is easily the cheapest and easiest options I've seen, thus far, and I can think of a few ways to fix the flaws. Also under 2 minute video so sthu. Good vid!

      +Eliza Littleton I'd probably line the can with giant 30 gallon plastic trash bag dump in the ice and add a little water to start the melting process. It's like when you cook turkey you have to put a cup of water in the bottom of the tray so it is still moist by the time the bird is dripping its juices or priming a pump.

    Make sure to have a mop handy. I see a lot of people that do the DIY fog chiller don't touch on when the ice melts where does the water go.

    Definitely created low fog but it made the ground wet and not a good thing if slippery surface. Had to shut it down and went without the ice set up :(

    This looks like a great idea for a backyard party! If using it indoors I would recommend mounting the chiller on some milk crates set in a large storage box to create a catch pan, and adding some dryer vent hose to the chiller out-vents to bring the fog to the floor. Thanks for the excellent post!

      Yes, but you can use hot water and dry ice and it will make the same effect. But be careful because when you do that because you can get carbon dioxide poisoning which is really deadly. Ok bye 👋 hope this helps!

    My question is when making the machine and Using an actual fog machine, do you also need liquid ice To make the dog? And adding dry ice will make it last longer? What can I do to make it heavy fog for while!

    Has anyone compared the 2 types of chillers? Passing through a tube entirly through with ice around the tube and out .. VS .. one that sends the smoke actually through the ice and back into an outlet. Efficiency output etc?

    Fantastic simple design that makes tons of low-lying fog even with cheapo juice and machine. No b.s. and so easy! I elevated the tub and added a small hole in the corner and installed a tight fitting 1/2" vinyl tube as a drain line, ran it into the bathroom and no water on the floor.

      +witchstoned Depends in how many bags you use any the ambient temperature of where this is occurring. In October when it's 40 degrees out pretty darn long but 90 degrees in August and you'll have water pretty soon.

      risa sharpe it’s probably due to heater getting to cool so it has to reheat to the temperature desired to create that smoke
