I'd be willing to make videos about anything that gets me enough interesting things to say (~10-20min or so). I also have some other things planned that are more like my previous videos but I do not know how long those ideas will take me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Anyway, let me know if you've played GX Unleashed before and what you think about it. Hey, as you might know I am the creator of this mod. I am glad that you greatly enjoyed it. You may have read up on the main purpose of this mod which is basically to balance the machines with high level play and advanced techniques in mind, so to hear you say you would recommend this to anyone is quite validating. I tried to make sure there were many machines that casual players would enjoy and do well with. You touched upon some of the machines that were more difficult or handle or weren't as fast. Such machines were made for more advanced players who are proficient with the advanced tech the game had to offer, thus for balancing purposes they had drawbacks like being more difficult to handle, had lower top speeds and what not. I'm well aware not every machine will be popular with everyone with the way I went about adjusting these machines. You can get an idea of the difficulty level of each machine in the Pilot Profiles, which I re-wrote to include the new stats of the machines. I wish I could have made adjustments with the story mode but even today how to adjust such things without relying on cheats is still unknown. But it seems it mostly worked out to making it easier for the most part. I do think chapter 4 without snaking is the only one that ends up being more difficult, but snaking helps with cheesing it at least. I attempted to replace the chapter 9 ghost but it wouldn't work with the same method as replacing the normal staff ghosts, so it will remain one of the easier ones as long you can stay on track. If you are interested, new codes have been found which can adjust the various aspects of the AI. Let me know if you want to try them out. My recent videos goes through GP mode with these codes.
I’d be interested to see machines ported over from Maximum Velocity. I know translating them over would not be trivial since they are from a game with the Super Jet system, but the Fighting Comet is one of my favorite machines in all of F-Zero, and I think it’d be a shoo-in as an EAB or EAC machine.
F-ZeroGX is still my favorite racing game ever, and I was always just so close to unlucking the AX cup but always failed. I just could never beat that last cup on master difficulty. Only managed to get close with the best custom I built, but the originals?! Pfff, no chance in hell... Don't get me started about the story mode... You Sir, deserve a medal for improving this game. I literally thsnk the lord there are people like you... Certainly wil try to get this mod to play. Awesome job from what I've seen and I hope we keep this game alive and relevant for another decade at least! Or Nintendo wakes up and finally gives us that next brilliant installment in the series. I haven't played GX Unleashed yet, but I followed it a lot. Have to say that this largely fixes a lot of balancing issues and keeps races fresh and interesting (after all Fat Shark and Black Bull are boring to see so many times). What I did not expect to hear was how GX Unleashed actually made Story Mode missions (some) a little different. Chapter 3 was funny for exposing Green Panther so many times, and Chapter 7 is no longer very stressful. Sadly, some chapters like 8 and 9 are just complete jokes. The Custom Machines being improved overall really helps. It makes more parts viable now. And seeing Air Emperor-V2 finally usable is beautiful.
For someone who doesn't a get challenge from Master anymore, this seems great for all veterans to the game that want a fresh coat of ai to the game. Any support for this game is great. Big ups akc12
You'd figure with all the cheating the story mode opponents do, they would've made Deathborn cheat a lot more. Like have significantly more energy, much faster acceleration, and rubber banding. Chapter 9 would've benefitted from a ghost that uses advanced techniques, on very hard pushing the blue falcon to the limit (while still being beatable). Fitting considering the entities that challenged Falcon were like the creators of the universe, and they should have innate knowledge of how these machines work.
