@@ati_art7673 hi, can you please tell me where can I find black burn??
Yeahhh, me too. The use of clipping mask + alpha lock here is easily understood ❤
this was SO helpful as someone who's trying to learn digital painting and been struggling with the learning curve 😔 but this tutorial was so accessible and easy to follow and it doesnt seem so daunting now. thank you so much!!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you found my video helpful and easy to follow! Appreciate the support!♥️
I’m an absolute beginner & I managed to recreate it as beautiful as yours.. thank u so much
I had to break and buy a new tablet. Purchased an Ipad for this app. I thought to watch some tutorials while I wait a month for delivery. After a few no starts, I found you. I'm an acyrlic artist and wow if I hadn't already bought the tablet, I'd be sold. As I am on your tutorials. I hope you do post more. Thank you for this one!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the support!♥️ And so glad you are loving the app-Procreate is amazing!!
Having watched many videos (and taken courses) I have still found it too intimidating to get very far. Your video is so exceptional, I’m not surprised you have so many positive responses. I can only hope you do more of various scenes (landscapes, seascapes…… etc, etc), but keep that accessibility and ease of approach so that it maintains as inspirational as this video. Very, very well done ❤❤
This is such a fun and beautiful tutorial. You have definitely inspired me to try something new ❤️ that color dodge is just gorgeous 😍 I love the way your flowers turned out
Oh my goodness, Thank you so much for your kind words! It really means so much to me!❤️
This has got to be the best start to finish tutorial I’ve seen. Thank you!
This video deserves more love! It’s fantastic, I learned more from this one video than I have done watch many others
Wow you solved my biggest problem. Better if you had shared the brushes used here for people like us who are in learning stage.
This is so so lovely, I figured some of this out on my own, but even the tools I learned about were used so efficiently here, I'm so excited to know how to do this, thank you!
Things I learned while watching without you even mentioning:
You can create custom canvas sizes bigger than the defaults.
You can create brush collections.
You can finger tap to sample paint color.
You can create painting "stacks" in the gallery view.
Tons of good stuff.
Thank you for your work! It is beautiful and it was great to see your process.
Thank you so much!🥰
Yes please to video on the tools! Yay!
Dear Ash, This Video is very worthy from an educational point and great to get starteted in digital painting. So lucky I found it. Thank you very much!
Wowza thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words--They mean so much to me! So glad you enjoyed the tutorial!

Wonderful! Man I learned so much from this one tutorial. Have a great time making more such content. But definitely for pieces that can be built under 20 mins and have the entire session documented as a follow through, would be awesome! Love from India ❤
I would love more videos on Procreate, and how you work with it
I love making these kinds of videos and will hopefully be posting one soon!
Great presentation and awesome technique. Thank you for sharing.
Watched some people recreating this picture. Yours is one of the best! Love it!!!
Magnificent. Thank you for the amazing tutorial 🥲
How gorgeous! Will look forward to looking at more of your videos. Would love to see videos on simple botanical/Japanese style flowers/paintings x

Please do more procreate paintings. You are the best teacher. Thank you.
Thank you so much!! Yes, I love filming these kinds of videos and I hope to do more in the future!
Awesome tutorial! Very helpful! I can only wish to be able to draw like this. Really like the stile of the painting - I guess textured brushes do make a big difference. Loved the painting without the rusted overlay, though.
Just found this video and plan on watching tonight. Only recently tried Procreate and think it is great software, the only problem could be my level on drawing/sketching.. but I am going to try
Gambar yang sangat bagus. Memberi banyak pengetahuan tentang cara menggambar dengan procreate... :D

Thank You 😍😍😍
Additionally. Where can we get the brushes you mentioned? Blackburn and ??
The Blackburn brush actually comes pre downloaded in the Procreate app!
Great tutorial 😍 thx!
Thank you!
Thanks for the video! Very useful :)
6b pencil , black burn 4:40
I watch this vidéo twice and I love the ease of your approach. Moreover, the overlays may constitute a breakthrough to me. THANKS. By the way, what is your name ?
Thank you so much! I appreciate it! And my name is Ashley 😊
This is my first video of yours which is off because I watch a shit ton of procreate vids and this is the first time you popped up. Let’s hear it for the algorithm.
Anyway I just wanted to ask if you were classically trained as an artist or did you learn on your own?
hii, i clicked the link below but I somehow cant download the image and the brushes, do you have any advice?
hi! absolutely love this video. i have trouble creating painterly ´tradional’ looking art on the ipad so this helped a lot. i also love the brush you were using. did you tinker with the settings of the brush or does it still have the default settings?
Thank you so much! So glad you found my video helpful!♥️ Blackburn is my favorite brush and I have not tinkered with the settings at all-it’s perfect just the way it is! Lol
Love this! What is the brush pack that you're using?
Why i can’t import ur brushes ? :(
Loved your tutorial, but the song not so much 🥹😆 thank you for posting regardless though
Why is the Blackburn small bush big for me ? And when I draw the texture doesn’t com out like yours! Can anyone help ?
Amazing art 🔥 and god your voice is so sweet
Could someone please explain the function and benefit of using a clipping mask here? I didn’t understand it.
If you put clipping mask, you won't be able to paint outside of the layer below the clipping mask. It basically lets you paint within the layer below it.
So if you paint a rectangle and add a clipping mask layer above the rectangle, then you will be able to paint only inside the rectangle. Try it out and it'll be easier to understand.
From japan
Could you tell me what kind of i pad you use ?
Great video! Is there somewhere to get your brushes? They look amazing!
Thank you so much! I actually just use the brushes that come with the Procreate app! The main one is the Blackburn brush, it’s my absolute favorite!
❤❤❤
9:58 just a time stamp
Wonderful painting! Btw: What you drew is a RECTANGLE, not a square. I say that because I saw a young person totally veg when asked what the name of a shape is with four equal sides. He said he hadn’t “studied shapes” since he was five. ::::facepalms:::: But really, your skills are great!
Thank you! Appreciate it! Yeah lol I meant to say rectangle but square came out instead haha
Can you add the link to the video to create the magic chalk brush?!
Absolutely!! Here is the link to the RUclips tutorial for the Magic Chalk brush: ruclips.net/video/ewNQky3RjsA/видео.html
Great video !! Where did you find the image for the overlay effect.
Thank you! Hmm I can’t remember exactly but I think I just google searched “pictures of rust” and it was one of those that popped up. Hope that helps!
Thank you so much..did you use Screen Protector ?
Of course! Thank you! Yes, I have a paper like screen protector. Absolutely love it!
I was unable to locate the links that you stated were going to be provided anywhere in the comment box. Can you help me?
Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention! I updated the description box with a link to the brush I mentioned and the rust photo I used at the end. Hope this helps!
nice✨
Can I know what the brush
Absolutely! It is the blackburn brush! It is one of the presets in the app.
Its illegal to colourpick😭 but looks nice
9:09
you could learn so much more by not color picking and that adds your own flavour to it.
How are you selecting the color from the photo? Pls guide
With the Procreate app, I just hold my finger in place on the screen and it activates the select tool. I believe you can adjust that in settings. Hope that helps!
You’ve used just one brush in the whole video 👀
Yes haha I typically only use one brush when doing landscapes. I just find that it works well for me😊
Source image where is it?
