Robert did say that he made lots of mistakes with the invincible comics and now being more of an experienced writer he promises that the show will be the ultimate adaptation

I just hope they redo Mark's and Nolan's reunion. It's so weird that in the comics they just hug and make up like Nolan didn't go on a murderous rampage like a year earlier.

I love how they took a super comedic scene in the comics and made it not only into an awesome fight scene but also a way to further a certain plot line. Fucking genius, love the writing for the show

I know this wasn’t super serious but 3-6 is usually the sweet spot some series can get away with more but franchise fatigue should be acknowledged and respected
@@GrogedUp They can't cover it in 3. 5 would be the bare minimum and they would have to have 10-12 episodes by Season 4, at a consistent runtime of 50-75 minute episodes. And it would still likely feel rushed. 7 seems the most likely, but I would prefer 8 for some breathing room and expansion of certain arcs.

This is why I stopped reading the comic around issue 120. There's absolutely no crucial character development beyond the first hook. Some people wake up and realize this quickly and others subconsciously use cognitive dissonance to stay in denial.

They showed Omni man was able to fly so fast he had a red electric charge over his entire body when he destroyed that alien planet. If I’m correct he was near light speed. Don’t viltrumites age like wine? Doesn’t Omni man get stronger the older he gets? Can someone please tell me just how strong Omni man is? Also if Invincible is only 17 with viltrumite blood, how strong can he possibly be? If Omni man is clearly a walking nuke on steroids, how can mark or anyone even stand a chance against Omni man? How can mark match Omni man’s strength if he is only 17 earth years old while Omni man is clearly a monster in terms of power?!

Omniman isn't even strong for a viltramite. He's average or slightly above average. Mark is the strongest viltramite in history and his power adds up quick.

Viltrumite blood is not so simple as “The purer the better.” It is even theorized in the comics that mark being a half breed is part of the reason why he gets so strong so fast.
As for viltrumite movement speed, in Omniman’s fight he consciously stopped limiting himself to approach FTL speeds, thus igniting the atmosphere around him and even cracking atoms in front of him at times, hence the explosions. Viltrumites subconsciously do this most of the time while on a planet to avoid damaging it or themselves.
It’s kinda like how you can technically run super fast, but you consciously limit how fast you run to avoid falling on your face.
Here you can see Mark is actually moving really slow under water and this is because he’s doing the same thing, he avoiding moving at a speed that would hurt himself. When he decides to fight the monster in earnest that is the only time you see cavitation bubbles behind him.
Cavitation bubbles are actually highly dangerous as they internally approach 5000 Kelvin and as much as 1000 Atmospheres of reverse psi, this would hurt even mark as he still would be harmed by standing on the surface of the sun, for instance.
Wait a minute… if he can hold his breath for a long time in space why does he need a mask to breathe underwater?
it was so he could communicate with the atlanteans before the fight broke out. also at this point mark hasn’t traveled through deep space for a prolonged period of time so his breath might not trained to last super long

Most notably mark stopped fighting back in season one and battle beast one tapped him.
Battle beast is one of the strongest beings in Invincible maybe bar none, but Nolan would have stood far more of a chance, maybe even got a few hits in rather than being immediately crushed.
