". . . Now draw you last pathertic boon, granddaughter so that I can end this duel." "My family has no pathetic boons, Chronos -- but it does have _this_ -- the unstoppable Hexodia!" "Hexodia!? But that's impossible! Nobody's ever been able to summon her!"
Okay im sorry to say while i love geyser spout to bits (big demeter duos and achilles spear fan in hades 1, i like to get funky with casts), it works in a very wonky way that everyone should be aware of. 1. First off, it actually adds to the power/base damage of your cast, so even +90 power is *massive* and does not take away from points #2 and #3. Pomming it is absolutely mental as it is hugely multiplicative. 2. It, however, splashes outside your cast zone so it actually is NOT affected by furies. Haelian hit 475 after pomming it once (which added 130 to it, as seen by the bugged screen later), and base damage of omega cast with night is 250. When your omega cast detonates if you have strength+furies (+55% damage) it deals 387. After geyser spout+pom, it got 380 power but the multiplier is now +25%, leading to 475 instead of the expected 589. This means that while stuff like origination and charon/persephone/selene/local climate are *way* more effective, you will always lose the furies damage. It is still worth running though since poseidon base cast still benefits from it and it hits like a truck, but still. 3. And finally yeah the boon numbers are also bugged. The pom numbers are whatever your actual increase is shown whenever you pom the boon next.
30:30 I have personally seen Zeus give the Apollo/Zeus duo in a Trial of the Gods _between_ Zeus and Apollo. There was also a reddit post of the same outcome with recorded video a while back.
At 5:40 you pause and you can see the bonus from geyser spout is different than it said in the pom screen. Pretty sure the number displayed in the "pause" menu is the actual bonus coming from geyser spout
Poseidon genuinely is the best god in this game in my experience. Staff special, Staff cast now, Pan... Hell it can even help on the axe with Charon, and I've found it useful of attack builds with the skull because AoE is their weakness. It does a few other niches too like Dash builds.
I had a trial of the gods that was Zeus/Apollo, I picked Zeus, he introduced me to his favorite son Apollo, I took the duo, then Apollo got MAD I took his duo from Zeus and attacked me. So it can happen. I have a screenshot of the log, fwiw.
I think the pom UI error is basically showing the total omega cast power *after* the geyser spout buff. I think the omega cast base is 150, so for example in 22:26 the pom screen shows 430 which is the base 150 + 280 from the lvl 9 Geyser Spout that we see in 24:17. But it’s def not formatted correctly.
I think Aphrodite is optimal here. It's a close range build, you only need regen on bosses if at all, it's enough to just regen next to the boss while they're in immunity phase so you don't lose dps, and even if you don't need regen which is pretty likely it's the easiest way to proc origination with Poseidon's slip, just exist next to them. Lucid Gain or Born Again would be better on a "start with 0 magicka" runs but that vow doesn't exist anymore unless I missed it somehow. They're totally worth taking if you can get Apollo or Hera without spending a keepsake though.
Yep, literally stumbled upon this build by accident a few days ago and its absolutely disgusting, you become an immortal revenant of AoE death around you.
I think you should be able to get duos from trials, just not the duo between the two gods involved. It wouldn’t make sense for a god to get mad that you took one of their duos, but it also doesn’t make sense that a god won’t offer a duo with another god that’s not in a trial.
In Hades 1 it was every duo boon and as far as I can tell in Hades 2 it was all duo boon too until now. But with the new patch you might be right, it would make sense that they exclude the duo from the gods currently competing for your attention from the pool.
here's the secret, Dark Side was OP before the hex rework, all of this was very doable but y'all disrespected it. and now it had to pull up and show you what it's about.
@@horizonblack8351 Yeah but Poseidon lets you cast it fast too. So the whole build is just two Poseidon boons and everything else is the cherry on top. There are so many ways to get cast speed too if you end up with this build accidentally (such as the keepsake Haelian uses in Tartarus if you really have nothing else).
Hi i was just wondering how do you have the information list next to your boon info (what specific boons are required to get this legendary/duo boon and such) is it a mod or?? Ive already unlocked the boon offerings incantation
Not a mod, the codex is unlocked via incantation after gifting each of the gods at least once. You can hit Y (controller) to toggle the info on the right on and off if that's what you mean.
@@Haelian i have this feature already but it seems when you hover your cursor on them there is a list on the right that shows what specific mods are required for this duo boon (boons names on the right of the screen with a checklist) and thats what im asking for cuz this would really be game changing
I think the one thing that makes the hexes feel awful is the wind-up time on all of them. It breaks the pace so badly, worse than the time slow from old arcana. And it's not like it even does anything cuz enemies are basically paused for it.
i think it is the fact that hexes require you to pick a hex and than get a hex to level them up. it's 2 boon commitment. a lot of the time, i rather have 2 separate boons from gods than pick Selene.
I agree that this becomes a nuisance after playing a lot. I want builds where I can use the hex repeatedly a lot but having to watch the animation every time really wears you down. Seems like a nice bit of feedback and easily remedied at least!
Forget "breaking the pace" - you're still on the goddamn clock with those Hex animations. It's absolutely absurd that on top of being an annoying 5~ second animation for each room that makes you question if you really want to bother, it also eats into the timer which in most cases and especially in the overworld makes it a hard pass. I would actually call this THE biggest issue with hexes currently and if they at least fix this I would be using them more
23:58 the comment in the chat "bathing your senile grandfather build" has destroyed me, lmao

Average Poseidon build

oh shit they acknowledge when you take duos in trials?? i haven't seen any duos in trials yet, but i've heard it's become possible.

This is totally it
I've always enjoyed the hexes personally, so I'm pleased that they've been getting buffed
Lucid Gain would have been a great regen boon for this build.

I used this build to beat prometheus for the first time. Hard to set up but very funny when you get all the pieces lol
Tbh this is my go to build. Just fun big number, no need to think, just hold q
Welcome back, Merciful End
Run this build but with Lucid gain. Had my first no-hit Eris/Pom fight with this, ridiculous
Dang that was sick as hell
It does look like an amazing hex build.
fyi the video length blocks the damage number on the thumbnail (at least on mobile)
Oops, thanks for the info!

30:20 i think its only Duo Boons of 'rivalling' gods that are unavailable on trials
In Hades 1 it was every duo boon and as far as I can tell in Hades 2 it was all duo boon too until now. But with the new patch you might be right, it would make sense that they exclude the duo from the gods currently competing for your attention from the pool.
26:22, "HAHA, NO! 🥲"
here's the secret, Dark Side was OP before the hex rework, all of this was very doable but y'all disrespected it. and now it had to pull up and show you what it's about.
geysor spout ui probably included 150d of omega cast
always skip poseidon cast, didn’t know it goes this hard
Only if you can cast fast. Like real fast. Plus without spamming, this build falls apart
@@horizonblack8351 Yeah but Poseidon lets you cast it fast too. So the whole build is just two Poseidon boons and everything else is the cherry on top. And they said Hades 2 has less synergy compared to the predecessor…

30:52 I got Seismic Hammer during a Posidon Hephaestus trial, so that aint it
OMG 😂😂😂 crazy build
You’re so right. We need Double Up back. I can start bitching if you want. This Sea Star thing is for the birds.
