- We've tried local Indian Street Food and Posh Indian Restaurants, but we want to try a McDonald's that does NOT have ANY BEEF on the menu! An American fast food chain known for cheeseburgers and hamburgers is in a country where many of the people DO NOT EAT BEEF! We wanted to try it out and see what the vegetarian and non-beef options taste like! What is the most interesting McDonald's menu item that you've eaten? Which country was it in?

India does not have beef in restaurants or food primarily due to cultural and religious reasons. Hinduism, the predominant religion in India, considers cows sacred, leading to a strong aversion to beef consumption among Hindus. The cow is revered as a symbol of life and the earth, and its protection is deeply ingrained in Indian culture. Additionally, dietary practices in India are influenced by religious beliefs, with many Hindu communities following a taboo on beef consumption due to the condemnation of cow slaughter in Hindu scriptures. This cultural and religious significance attached to cows has led to the absence of beef in Indian cuisine, making it a predominantly vegetarian or non-beef consuming country
mcdonalds or Mac D as local say in india is pathetic menu the burger is good and i like is mc spicy paneer burger or Veg surpise which is average but just to fill when you hungry in middle of night when there is hardly any option apart from 24 hrs Mac D. do try Louis Burger in New delhi i think they have really cool vegetarian burgers.

What a great video. McDonald’s didn’t exist in India when I was there in 1990 but I remember going to a burger joint in Connaught Place in New Delhi and having Pepsi and a veggie burger. It was incredible. Thanks for the review.😊 PS that chocolat cake was in a leagle of its own! Looked so gourmet 😊

Bro There is Huge difference in taste of foodchains across the world. Like our KFC is Way way different than West. Same goes for Macdonalds many of the people from west don't know about Paneer.

In India, McD is marketed as a slightly premium food joint rather than run of the mill fast food place treatment in the US. Hence, our McDs are kinda better than the ones in many Western countries. Also, no hate to any country, just stating facts.

You can get pork and bovine meet in India, no, that’s not beef, it’s pretty common, you can find it at Lucknow in many restaurant, like Tunday Kebab.

if you guys are ever in Ann Arbor ,MI. Please try METZGERS German restaurant . a family friend owns it and it is authentic thru and through. 100 year old recipes. let me know if you do and what you think ask for Jon Metzger tell him your were recommended by the Wiehr family. also if you've never been the Great Lakes and MI is like nothing you've ever seen. I recommend the veal Schnitzel with mushroom gravy ,red cabbage, Kassse Spetchel, and the Knockwurst with raspberry spice mustard has well has homemade pumpernickel bread with authentic spicy mustards and MET if you like it !!! They also have AMAZING STRUESSEL !!!!

You are living the dream that i had with my ex long time ago. We were dreaming to go around the world eating different kind of foods all around the globe. Just never won in the lottory to do such a trip 😄.
I would still do that if i got a chance. It´s just a long way to leave from Finland, but there is always possibility to start from the Balkan and move forward to Poland and Germany. That would deffenetly be the first route. Just take backpacks and start the journey without too much of planing how long to be in different countries. That would be nice.
I'm really wondering why German McD's do not have that Fanta float. It's practically Sanfter Engel made with a soda instead of juice.

Vegetarian is the preferred food choice of Indians because of Religious reasons as it is not considered appropriate to eat meat in Hinduism that's why 40% population is completely Vegetarian and the rest also eat meat occasionally and not regularly

Fantastic flavor, extremely intense orange that needs the vanilla ice cream to calm it down. A Fanta float sounds awesome. As a barista I used to make "creamsicle" Italian sodas - soda water, orange syrup, and heavy cream. I wonder if they are still popular today.

Just to set the record straight KFC in India has far better chicken burger than McD, Wendy’s or Burger King (all in the Indian context).
KFC’s Chicken Zinger burger in classic, tandoori or Pro any version wins hands down in taste & size of serving. Besides the chicken even the quality of the buns that-they use is far superior to those used by any of the other burger giants.
The best non-veg burger at Indian McDonald's is McSpicy Chicken. The maharaja mac is supposed to be the best but its actually one of the worst!

You mentioned ‘the whole McCafe thing’. We know what you mean from our trips to Europe, New Zealand and Australia. Why does McDonald’s have McCafe signs on their places in the USA but there is no McCafe inside? Just coffee and cookies, donuts and apple pies. So misleading for travellers.

This is also a question why every Western or European country is obsessed with beef. I mean people eat monkeys and horses but they are mostly banned. But cow eating is not banned anywhere. Is is because cows are Halal or something? It's also true that the Westerners hate it gets angry or feel sad when they get to know some tribes or people around the world do eat dogs and cats. But when they talk about India not eating cows they make fun of our culture. Why don't American try dogs then. What's this discrimination with animals. I am sure not all of them are bad. People eat pigs even though they can give you disease or worms.
