    Thank you so much for going over the spark plug, I was so confused when I saw the differences there. I kinda figured you could take that off but wouldn't come out and was scared to brake the spark plug or damage it, now I see it needs some more force THANK YOU SOOO MUCH

    My coils were extremely stuck, tried wiggling and pulling, only got one out. If you're experiencing the same issue, try putting a zip-tie around the coil, then make two 'handles' with zip-ties through the zip-tie you put around the neck of the coil. Pull evenly on the zip-tie handles and they should come out (you still do have to pull quite hard).

    Great video.. I know am 4 years late to the party.. just wanted to ask do the spark plugs need to be torque settings tight ?

  • @ezbg
    @ezbg Год назад

    I read on the forums You don’t need to unclip the injectors you also don’t need completely remove the air box which means not needing to removing fuel hose, just have to remove one hose that goes from middle to right side of air box and loosen throttle body clamps.

    Awsome job man how did they work out, did you get better fuel economy and notice that things were smoother? After how many miles did you changed it?

    • @2WheeledLogan
      @2WheeledLogan  6 лет назад

      Haven't noticed a significant change, but my old ones weren't too bad to begin with. Changed around 16000 miles.

    I'm in the process of replacing my sparkplugs some advised me to change sparkplug gasket. I loozed online for this part but can't seem to find any

    • @2WheeledLogan
      @2WheeledLogan  6 лет назад

      The only gasket type item I can think of in there is the rubber boot that connects the spark plug and ignition coil. I don't think you can just buy that boot without buying the entire coil assembly.

    How did you get your fuel hose clips to stay on I clicked them back but they still slide right off

    • @2WheeledLogan
      @2WheeledLogan  5 лет назад

      I'm not sure. They just clicked back on and held. Only thing I could think would be the hose isn't fully seated before you clicked it in maybe?

    i replaced my stock plugs with the NGK CR9EIX and it was running rough. I pulled all the plugs out and the gap I had set were all gone and push against the wire. Are these plugs too long for the 2005 ZX6R? Someone help tks

    • @2WheeledLogan
      @2WheeledLogan  4 года назад

      The stock NGK CR9E and CR9EIX have the same thread reach (19mm) so that wouldn't be the issue. This sounds indicative of a much more serious problem. I am not a mechanic so I can't say for certain, but something inside the combustion chamber is possibly hitting that spark plug, and could cause the engine to detonate. I'd recommend having a shop take a look at it before it gets worse!

      I regapped then put them back in and went for a ride 5 mins she ran perfect then back to backfires and rough accel.
      I read similar stories of review of counterfeit NGK plugs on amazon, which is where mine were purchased. Getting new plugs at autozone today and we’ll try again. 🤞🏼
      Thanks for your help!

    • @2WheeledLogan
      @2WheeledLogan  4 года назад

      @@84agc Do the plugs look damaged or beat up after you pulled them? It very well could be a counterfeit plug, but it could also be something failing within the engine and allowing the piston to strike the plug. Listen for any "pinging" within the engine that could be foreign material within the chamber. Just be careful and good luck.

    Yo it's been a while, I know you don't remember me, but I started watching you a few years ago after meeting you out riding. Anyways, cool stuff man, I noticed you moved from the 256. I'm down in Orlando attending motorcycle mech institute. Should be back up there next year, so look around for my name at shops for a technician. I'm pretty sure I can help with anything if you ever need it. Btw I'm Honda and Kawi certified.

      How's it going man? I am horrible with names but better with bikes. What were you riding then? Congrats on the schooling! And yea I moved away from Alabama last summer. I miss it, but it's cool up here. Basically right outside of DC now.

      2WheeledLogan I was on a all red and black f4i went to a lot of rides shows etc, if I remember right it was on the parkway near cycle gear where we met. And thanks, I will actually be moving to Tennessee when I finish up, either near the smokies or Nashville. "Gotcha powersports" is my number one I'm trying to get with. They have done all my work on my bikes before now lol.

    How do I get the coil out ?????

    • @2WheeledLogan
      @2WheeledLogan  5 лет назад +1

      I was able to pry them out with a flat tip screwdriver. They are a real pain in the butt to remove, and you have to take a lot of care to not damage the head cover while you're prying.

    • @michaelarellano7716

    I just did mine right now. The ignition coils were a total bitch to get unseated. I used a wrench and had to yank like hell to get then off there. Took about 2 hours for the full job due to those things.
