I'm enjoying your videos My little cottage that I use to rent when I first left home in my teens at 7.21 looking vey sad & uncared for. I lived there for 9 years. Roberto's in Church Walk is a Italian Deli. It might sell bread as well. They do wonderful food & you can sit & have a coffee there too. Thanks for the videos
Thanks for the tour Andy. I left St Neots in 1987, this is such a treat (just to see it again the day before my bday) you are so wonderful for doing this. Cheers
Was there on Monday, must say I was surprised that building got past planning some lovely little cottages opposite it. St. Neots and St. Ives very similar in appearance both got a market square both on the river Great Ouse and both probably very important for trade in there day.
Hi DP, thanks for st. You’re right the two market towns are very similar. Like you, I can’t see how this building down Church walk got passed the planning. Cheers w
Here's a list of establishments I remember but have now disappeared from St Neots over the last 50 or so years: Clayton's Lipton's Scott's Sports Hills records Army & Navy Handy Man The Arcade Woolworths The Old Post Office Calcott pharmacy Lawson's Key Markets Barney's Tooks Golden Egg Skating rink King's Newsagents Roper's The animal market Pop In chip shop Cadge's Readwell's A Freeman Jewellers Barretts W Johnson Jewellers R F Developments.
It doesn't feel like you know the town very well as the road and business names are misquoted. It would probably be more helpful for visitors in particular if this was corrected.

That new building within sight of the church is an abomination.
I agree
