St Neots seems to be dead after 10pm. Nowhere to go except the Coach house or Pig & Falcon in the town centre. There is couple other venues but that’s about it
I worked in the Kings head, Wildmans and the Wrestlers in the 90's it was busy Thursday through to Saturday. Even the other days were busier than today. We had night clubs to go to after the pubs. I never thought it would decline as much as it has done. Now that buildings have been converted we'll likely never see it busy again. Was easy to meet new friends, I feel sorry for the youngsters now who are missing out on what we had. So sad
Unfortunately it’s the same all over the country once lovely English towns turned into third world takeaway and charity shops it’s not unique to St Neots.
It really depends on when you go out. Usually the Pig and Falcon is quite busy on the weekend. I guess it is much quieter at the end of the month and also when it had been raining all day. Pre-covid I used to go out Friday and Saturday night plus international football on Wednesdays. Now once a week.
Covid has so much to answer for. You are quiet right Andrew, St Neots is like a ghost town not much going on now in the town. I do not know if the tea room called 'Bettys Brumble's Vintage tea room' still has their cocktail room in the evenings?
I preferred St Neots when it was much smaller and quieter. People were more likely to know each other. Now we have strangers being bussed in like there's no tomorrow, tiny toy houses with no gardens to speak of have spread like fungus across the area, and traffic and crime have increased exponentially. It saddens me to think I would now like to move away from St Neots. BTW, an interesting and insightful upload👍😎.
Usually the Pig & Falcon is heaving on a Friday & Saturday night. Especially late at night. I believe a lot of people go to Weeping Ash first & end their night in the Pig. Before the Corner House & Brook & Barter closed their doors that's where young people headed
Generally the town is dead I can't wait to move out of this place Years ago it used to be decent Shops closing restaurants beyond then you can think Generally terrible the council have done a terrible job And the mayor of the town Spending all of that money on the Town square for what ? It goes to show if you put the wrong people in charge
Hi David, thanks for watching. I can see that the market square will look nice, but we are short of car parks in the town, a problem for the shops. Even the Market traders are complaining.
What a pointless video, putting so much effort into going out on a cold, wet, early April night and making out that that's the norm for the whole year. Complete waste of time. It's lively in St Neots every weekend throughout the warmer months. Every town of similar size has similar quieter periods for rest of the year outside of festive season. Silly to imply otherwise.
Thanks for watching anyway. The nightlife of st Neots has really gone down hill over the years, you probably wasn’t around years ago in st Neots but their was 3 night clubs at least. Nowhere for places to go for youngsters now. Have a look around St Ives , very busy in the evenings and that was filmed the following weekend. I’m not trying to put down St Neots, but it is very quiet in the evenings now.
Great vid☝🏾☝🏾
Thanks for watching
Thanks
That’s really said, I wonder what St Ives looks like?
Thanks for sharing this Andy, we finally have sun and less snow.
Hi Michael, I’ll have a look
Worked at the bridge house when it was a beefeater 22years ago can't believe its shut on a Friday night

So true, nowhere for youngsters to go now

It's like a ghost town these days. Victim of the cost of living and the closure of the Corner House and Brook amd Barter.
Very trueThe Potsie Zebra. Yeah, no money about, thanks for watching

Hiya, thanks for watching. That’s what I heard. Not much choice now in St Neots unfortunately
Sadly very true There use to be a lot more choice when I started to go to pubs in the 80s@@andrewwardmedia
Use it or loose it
That’s true, we’ve lost it
