- Welcome to episode two of our new series, with apologies for the delay in it arriving. Join us as we take a tour of the Forgotten Realms, the core setting of Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition.
This episode sees Falrien investigate Tresendar Manor, the decrepit former seat of a long-lost royal dynasty and the wider history of Phandalin. Phandalin is the core location to be found in the two starter sets for 5th edition: Dragon of Icespire Peak and Lost Mine of Phandelver.
While efforts have been made to minimise spoilers; this video (and series) is designed to give viewers insight into the locations and NPCs. A degree of poetic licence has been used in some descriptions, but most are direct interpretations of material found in the books.

So happy I stumbled upon your channel! I am an aspiring GM and have just started the adventure: Dragon of Icespire Peak. I want to be thoroughly versed in some lore surrounding Phandalin and the areas beyond as my players are quite curious. I want to be able to craft a realistic world that they feel immersed in and lore/knowing characters/economics/and society really help make the world feel real. These videos have helped me get into the mood and grasp a better understanding of the area.

The only thing I can't figure about Tresandor Manor is why the particular passphrase for the skeletons. It seems rather arbitrary (and mentioned nowhere else in the adventure).
I'm deciding to just change the history of the Manor somewhat to make the passphrase more sensible (and discoverable).
