I have the Townmaster Harbin Wester as dead. Nezznar has a Doppelganger impersonating him, locking himself away inside "out of fear" and sending the party on Dragon related quests to keep them far the fuck away from the Black Spider's plans. If he's found to be dead (and the Doppel leaves anyway after Nezz is defeated) there's an election in Phandelver which Halia Thornton is very keen to win, and if Party chooses to ignore this development she does. Party can skill challenge to help someone else or hinder Halia.
I rubbed these two together real nice with some herbs and oil then into a cast iron pan low in the oven for two hours. Quick broil on each side to finish and these campaigns are made for each other. Delicious.
Thank you for the tips, I'm runnin LMoP now, and will probably continue with Icespire and this video helped me a lot, it is truly a gem. You deserve more views. Insta-subbed.
regarding Nezznar being underpowered: I read on a Reddit post that after the PC's defeat him, he mumbles a prayer as he lays dying, or whatever, but the evil drow Spider Queen deity is displeased with him and turns him into a.....Drider! Begin phase 2 of the Boss Fight!
Great video, I'm currently running LMOP and was wondering how this would fit in, I think I will add a few DOISP locations into our campaign and then have the orcs attack phandalin once the players have found and cleared out wave echo cave. This will then lead them to venomfang and lead into storm lords wrath.
Agatha - a combat encounter ? If a group of that level faces a banshee they are toast. Agatha is a Questgiver at best. She has some story attached that can be expanded on - and I'm atm not actually not sure anymore what of that lore is in the book or what I made up - but Agatha became one of the main interests to my party. We've spun a story of her lost lover who took her silver comb to a battlefield and did never return and how she was waiting and mourning for him for centuries. So the village where she used to live has become corrupted and everything in there is dead. The streets full of corpses, new and ancient, of those who wanted to get some knowledge or treasure from that place. And then there's this Thay Necromancer who's interested in the location of a book that she has knowledge of.
Conyberry and Agatha are call backs to one of the Drizzt books by RA Salvatore. Drizzt and Wulfgar had to steal a mask from her, so Drizzt could hide being a drow. The villagers begged them NOT to kill her, because she was respected in the community.
Very watchable vid mate, the ideas you gave made me want to look at Phandelver and want to give it a go. I recently heard about Icespire peak, Im sort of along the lines of OSR and similar stuff so its a bit new for me. This grabbed my interest though and Im sure I could do something with both of these in my setting.
@@NerdKingdom2018 I have to admit you're right, I didnt give it a fair looking at when it first came out. I had had a long break from gaming and was just coming back and it felt too D&D for me having been more interested in games like WFRP and Runequest the last time we played. Somehow I recently found out about Icespire Peak which looked intriguing, then I found your vids and I was totally wrong to write LMoP off. If I can get a group together I would have no problem running both I reckon.
