The Sikkim Government has initiated exemplary afforestation measures like ‘Mero Rukh Mero Santati’, ‘Mero Road, Mero Bot’ where nurseries play an vital role for its success. Among these nurseries is one nursery located at Ralang Deorali which is producing saplings of oak species like Buk, Rani Chap and Katush. To make the nursery successful, Forest officers and personnel dedicate one day every month for voluntary service. They are delighted to see the gradual success of their hard efforts.
