When are everyday Kiwis going to wake up, Labour and Greens live in la la land. If you want first class healthcare, education and infrastructure we need investment and we won't get it without a reliable and secure energy system.
In the past I had voted Labour and Green and could never see myself supporting Act with its neoliberal roots. But after the last Govt with Labour Green and TPM I felt that the collective woke ideology of the left had swung way too far and has put us on the pathway to both financial and moral bankruptcy. I dont totally agree with Seymour but on issues like gun laws, treaty of waitangi etc I am just thankful that Act are there speaking up. National would do well to listen to them.
The EV Semi Truck built by Tesla will use the equivalent power used by 4000 house holds to re-charge. We cannot maintain power levels as it is, the Net zero stupidity will be nothing but a total fail, just as the road to zero went.
Fossil fuels kill our planet, even if you don't support climate change issues they cause the pollution they produce kills millions every year around the world. Fossil fuels will run out so we need to transition to alternative now, not later after more people die from pollution & the changing climate. If fossil fuels are not causing the climate change they are not helping to elevate the problem that scientist all agree is real & needs to be addressed.
@@robertmariu6783 Hell no privatisation turns essential services into a for profit business more interested in making a profit than providing the best service. You also end up with issues like the London water supply, went privatised, ran for profit with minimal maintenance & no infrastructure upgrades. Now there is both a supply shortage & increasing pipe breakages so the company is demanding money from the taxpayer to both repair the existing system & upgrade it to meet the increasing water supply demand, both things they were meant to be doing from customers bills but instead sent increasing profits to shareholders.
Why dont they ask why these mills were on the wholesale price rather than a hedged price like most prudent businesses. These mills are just trying to socialise their bad risk management decisions!

That bunch have been voted out but the stink remains. Ardern set up a special immigration section that fast tracked her WEF activists into New Zealand. Over 300 were inserted into positions of power and it will take a stiff broom to sweep them out. Especially when they are now in parliament. Check out the greens party ??
Fossil fuels are a lazy way to fix this issue, fossil fuels WILL run out so we should be moving to alternatives. Using YESTERDAY'S solutions to try & fix tomorrow's problems does not work. There is a power shortage but I remember when I was a kid we were told by regular adds to turn off our lights & appliances when not needed but we are now building houses that have external lights running all night, not for security, security lights do this better but for aesthetics & running massive TV advertising boards. The answer is to build housing & promote existing house to become energy self sufficient but energy companies don't want that as it will kill their profits. Short term pain in new housing prices for long term energy savings.
Why does the government not cancel the climate emergency.
How is this possible throughout the whole western world at the same time, coincedence?
Some on FB are saying its all a WEF plan.
Fossil fuels are finite. We’ve near.y depleted them
This all foreshadows the joys that await us we approach the full onset of Net Zero idioicy.
A big round of APPLAUSE to the Labour, greens, TPM leaving us up a creek without a paddle, thank you so much

We are looking more and more 2nd World!
We had 6 years of destruction and lack of infrastructure investment, I hope it does not take 6 years to get us back on track
It will take a lot longer than 6 years to get back on track. The greens, labour and heavens knows who else will make sure of that.

Well done Jacinda & the looney Greens. Now we have the hangover from your anti fossil fuel policies.

Privatise everything ; but govt has to improve the infrastructure so they can keep profiteering !!

Why not promote solar for residential power generation. Subsidize panels and batteries. Get it sorted!
Because the sun does not shine 24/7, and the panels only last 20 years, then you can fill the land fills with them.
Cause the sun don't
always shine. Need power at night as well
Don't what to hear it!! Get it "FIXED" lol
maybe have a scheme that people that own there own homes get a heavily discounted price on solar panels and surplus power goes back into the grid
How wil that help us next week?

@@TheFalconerNZ probably enough fossil fuel to last 250 years or more & we should keep on using it. Gradually replace it with technology not taxation.
