Malaysia Airlines 747-400 9M-MPM Takeoff

Malaysia Airlines will unfortunately retire its 747 and 777 fleet, to be replaced by A380s and A330s. If you look closely, you can see one of the pilots waving at me.

In the latter part of the 1990s there were proposals for the introduction of a 3 x weekly Boeing 747-400 route from Manchester to KL via Paris (instead of AMS or FRA which were also possibilities) as MAN-CDG-KUL (presumably as MH12) but instead opted to extend the Munich service to Manchester with a 777 in 1998 before going Nonstop and switching to the 744 making it the ONLY 747 service from Manchester to the Far East NONSTOP.

Great shot! The A380 services have now been cancelled :( The A330s and 777s will take over.

We've heard they will replace their 772 aircraft with new 773 type, plan to adding more A380-800, hope it will be the truth,Australia sector Sydney and Melbourne needs the big aircraft to replace their previous 747 with new A380,unfortunately they have cancelled that superb route plan..CDG,HKG not in the first planning

Nick, did you get QF107 departing for LA? Then onto JFK? Because I was on that flight!! :) If you did get it departing, could you please upload it.
