Absolutely unreal. Seems to pull back on the blocks less on the 'take your mark' which allows the faster reaction time, and his underwaters seem better. I'm guessing that was the main reason for the time drop. I feel like this could take 10+ years to beat. Edit: Maybe 20
I agree that the transitions seemed as perfect as ever. And yeah you could say he tenses up more than leans back, but there's definitely still backward movement.
Hi Evan, I recommend you work on doing mid-pool 50s. This is where you start in the middle of the pool and focus specifically on swimming both turns in the 50. Normally in a 50, you only do 1 turn. When you start the 50 in the middle of the pool, you get to do two turns. I also recommend doing a lot of your 50s negative split - meaning you swim faster on the 2nd 25 than on the 1st 25. This will make you focus on approaching the wall more intentionally and come off the wall strong. Good luck!
Benjamin Torres good swimmers don’t put other swimmers down dude, 26 is not bad for a 14 year old at all and maybe he’s 17 swimming a 27 but he could be ridiculously fast at distance. There’s a dude at my school who swam like a 27.5 50 free but his 500 was a 4:40
More than a second, that's gotta be one of the biggest margins of victory in an NCAA 50 free final

It could take a while to beat, depends on how fast training technology becomes more advance.
I get goosebumps every time I watch this video. I’m not a swimmer but my homies are swimmers so I love the sport.
wow, his distances per stroke is ridiculous. Epic swim. Straight fire!!!!
For all those wondering, its 50yards not metres, still that's really amazing :)
remarkable. It seems like all the power is going from his legs. His arms seem to be "windmilling" which you would think leads to slower rotation..
Yes and no, swimming isn't necessarily about how fast you can kick or pull, it is extremely technique oriented.
great, now im unsecure about my skill level now, but holy crap man you go
Also do the flip turns help dropping time? Rather than an Olympic pool?
Yes, flip turns reduce your time by a lot.
Yeah the push off the wall gives a huge boost
Do you think 24.87 is good for me (12 year old)
I just saw the real dude at swim practice doing a clinic! Holy shit!
Holy S***
This is crazy
I can only swim a 25 wtf
I just swam a 32
Ik how you feel
27
Holy shit! And I was proud of my 23...😳
@@russhapoff1867 hey 23 is pretty nice though
Awesome! I’m still trying to break my 33 😂
Mad Man!!!!
Jarod de Vos bad man
This looks like Usain bolts 100m in 2008.. he could have swam backstroke into the wall and still would have won and broken the record
Не ну это бан!
Omg is this at Georgia tech???
no University of Minnesota
i just swam a 28 :/
haha sameee !!
Got a 26
yall are getting 20somethings... im a 34
SayvingK ay i was 14 when i got my record at 23 didn’t make it to states tho cause the cuts are ridiculous
Yee Yee you swam a 23 second 50 free at 14? That’s kinda nuts I’m not gonna lie.
bruh i know a 13 year old named landon loyd who just went a 20.8 at the nc state champs
xKeith W quick water facts lighter weight=Less drag and water resistance= less buoyancy= faster speed
Mine is not so impressive I'm 51 years old I just swam a 23 yesterday and a 50 yd Pool
Jason K that’s extremely fast considering your age
Jake Healey That’s extremely fast considering any age really
23 is nothing to be ashamed of a lot of HS swimmers can't do that. To do it at 51 is incredible.
I have a 24 sec 50 free, but I slow down on my turns. Any tips!? Thanks

Isn’t yards more than meters ?
Nope
FUUUUUUUCK
Wth I’m never gonna beat that. My 50m is only 26 seconds :( welp. I still have a long way tho only 14 yr old :)
I SWIM 44 SECONDS FOR A 50
This is fantastic . I have 27 sec while IAM 17 . You are champion don't worry

@Benjamin Torresdon’t talk like you’re god speed. My friend can go a 21.5 and he’s 13 lol
That pool is not 50 m ;-;
He made it look small it was a 50m in total
@@abhradip1837 actually its not 50 meters. Its in yards which is quite less
