I've known Scott since he was 19. We were LCpl's together. He has always been a "leader of men". Check out his book and check out Save the Brave. The work he has done for Vets since he retired is outstanding! Love this brother!
These stories are so important. Keep helping our service men and women share. Priceless thankyou
Thank you for recording these soldiers stories.
This man is a awesome leader!!! I love that fact that he walked the streets along with his marines 👍
Thank you for your service and bringing light to the families that are left behind making huge sacrifices to keep everything running in the absence of the warriors.
I love this guy. A true warrior grunt who knew he had to get out and walk the streets with men he knew. Well done sir.
This dude encapsulates what BA Marine looks like…not to mention he’s incredibly articulate. Nicely achieved!
We can be honest. Any man that served and fought in actual combat engangments could write a book. Especially those guys that experienced some extremely intense situations throughout their tour. Just like the documentaries from Sebastian like Restrepo or Korengal. Both of which are so intense. The amount of trauma that these guys will carry the rest of their life is something myself nor any civilian would never understand
I served in the Marines, one of my bodies got bone shrapnel from two other new marines that got blown up by an IED, nobody talks about sudden horrible deaths like that, I think he killed himself a few years ago, not enough help for veterans.
Sorry to hear that Marine. We got 5 in one IED. It was roadside.
My god bless u men
Wow. Much respect sir!
holy moly, this guy is America 100%. Thank you, thank you for your service
I agree that Military people appear to get through College quicker. That was my observation while attending University.
Iraq the musical next ? Let the spectacle & theatre continue. F**k the million casualties !
Great interview looking forward to reading your book....3/4 Kilo 81'- 87' Semper Fi
Loved his book - also went to Highschool in McHenry (about 15 minutes from Waukegan! Cool!
These comments in regards to gold star family members hit the nail on the head.
Small world , I spent 54 months in Iraq running missions & was attached to MEF from 06-10 . Ramadi , Al ASAD , Hit & KV was my backyard & after I left I almost went to work with & shared a few beers with Capt John Smith when he lives in Murphy TX . Ramadi was absolutely insane, like medivil .
Semper Fi sir. I'm a retired Marine, I was a Huey & Cobra mechanic.
How shame that the masses had no idea at all what's going on in the world when we are working for some certain group of billionaires we are told we are patriots,
Same as prison break
Read the book and have it on audible love it ..especially the eggnog with the Afghan turp
E-4 AMERICAL 1970 23d Infantry Div. I am going to read Echo asap. I had the occasion to "have one bad and one good" and what a difference it makes. (leaders).
Scott is such a direct and effective interviewee I just stopped what I was watching here and bought his book on Audible. Can’t wait to listen to all 9 hours of it, the longer the better.
Im still connected with almost all of my military buddies, im way more connected with my iraq buddies -sometimes more than my own blood family
SEMPER FI Major
Oooh Rah
The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!

Thank you for your service. Had a good buddy that served alongside Marines in Fallujah in '06 and talked highly of those folks. Completely out of line though with the comment about middle America being out of touch with military needs and family. Marines are not the end all, be all force. There are at least 30 major Army/AF posts/bases between the coasts (Ft. Hood, Ft. Bliss, Ft. Riley, Ft. Leonard Wood, Ft. Sill, Warren AFB, Whiteman AFB, Minot AFB, Ellsworth AFB, Barksdale AFB, Et. al.) Not even scratching the surface there. Just listed the first couple that filled my mind. Respect to the Marines, but please don't marginalize the patriotism and sacrifice of the families that don't come from the two crap ends of the country. From a fellow combat vet.
My USMC Desert Storm younger brother didn't want to go to Iraqi War...scared to die and had a military wife family.
Stunning interview. He tones it way down from the book. The book is amazing. I'd like to know as former military, where? Where? Where does civilian leadership even come near the quality of the US military officer Corp? Hahahahaha a laughable moment. Sure it's about knowing about "people" the difference is- "in the military people are assets, to civilian industry people are a nuisance, to be abused and discarded." Of course the military has a better vetting process.
very sad callin freinds mom
😍😍😍🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷
Iraqi freedom lol
I find the titles of the wartime ops stupid. Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom etc, Bush era rhetoric at its very worst.
Shock and Awe being childish to the point of embarrassment.
Almost Monty Python.
General morse white marines corps
What does that mean?
Nothing
