This really works! I did it back in the 80's. I did my Bachelor's through Thomas Edison State U. It took me a little longer (about 2 years) because I lived abroad and had to wait for international mail. And, yes, you can get a quality education this way. When I went on to Grad School, I was well-prepared, and made the dean's list. Other colleges to consider: Liberty U., and Colorado Christian U. both allow competency based education for about 75% of a degree.
I just hacked away 90 transfer credits of UMPI supply chain management degree using Sophia SDC and coursera. Cannot wait to start working towards my bachelors in may.

Also, you look like you lost weight compared to the videos you have in your degree hacking program. Whatever you’re doing, keep up the great work! I appreciate the information.

I contacted TESU, asking for Competency Based Program. The response I got was: "The BS in Healthcare Management program is offered completely online and you can earn this degree entirely through the University's online and distance learning courses. Although, I do want to bring this to your attention, that this degree program can not be completed just with TECEP options, you will be required to take few online courses. We do offer terms every month and you can register from 3-15 credits in each term. Each term is 12-weeks long and you will be required to complete your coursework within this timeline." Ryan can you educate me if this is the strategy you are teaching us or not?
I prefer choosing schools that are 100% competency based. But TESU is a great option if you're wanting to earn most of your credits through CLEP, Sophia.org, Straighterline, Study.com, etc. You can earn most of your TESU degree by transferring these 3rd party exams over to the school... Then completing as many TECEP exams as they'll allow. By the end, you should only need to take a few classes through their "traditional" online program. Hope this helps. I do offer free consultations if you'd like help mapping out a strategy. Shoot me an email at ryan@9monthgrad.com if you'd like to chat.
I really appreciate your works and your videos. I am planning on getting around 90 credits from Sophia and then transfer the credits to a cheaper, faster and non proctored school for the Bachelors in Computer Science. Which schools are the best choice for this?
For Computer Science having 90 Sophia credits accepted by any school is impossible to my knowledge. 90 credits from Sophia is only going to work for majors that are almost all elective credits (basically liberal studies). I also don't know of any non-proctored computer science majors. I get that Sophia sounds amazing... but it's really overhyped. It's a nice tool when used in moderation, but definitely not the tool to use heavily if you're looking at a high end major like computer science. @@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 I just graduated with an Associates Degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Compliance from Texas State Technical College I have a scholarship to earn my bachelor degree from Texas A&M University Commerce and my program is totally online and comprehensive based. Look into that program for me
What if you already have classes that you can transfer in. Will that help or do I hate to test out still?
As long as the program your transferring into allows you to test out. Having previous credits will definitely help!
Are there any where you can get an engineering degree?
Nope, I don't know of any "Hackable" engineering degrees. But you can accelerate a Bachelor's Degree and then jump into an Engineering Master's program. That would still save you a few years.
@@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 Great thanks!
Can a foreigner get enrolled in this program?
Yes, there are Universities in the US with Competency Based Education programs that do accept international students.
How do you find out what's on the test?
There are a ton of strategies for this, but definitely tough to explain in this thread. I have a ton of videos on this inside my program. Shoot me an email if you'd like to learn more (ryan@9monthgrad.com)... No pressure at all, but there's a good chance I can save you multiple years of time... and a lot of money as well.
Did you file for fafsa or pay out of pocket?
I was so broke going back to school that the FAFSA part was easy. But I've dealt with scholarships a lot as well. In the end, I paid about $200 out of pocket for my Bachelor's Degree.
How did you sign up for scholarships?
I started old school with the Ultimate Scholarship Book, then trickled into some of the main directory sites. I'm also a big fan of hitting up local community colleges in your area and getting resources for local scholarships.
So, which schools or colleges or universities provide a flat-fee per semester? Have you done a video on this topic, too? Keep up the good message!
I know for sure WGU does. That's the school I'm attending.
Help. can I get your email. Thanks.
