Omg he lied on this lady and took her children. I’m glad he was exposed,he took care of them but it’s not what you do, it’s how you do it.
If I found out even my biological father beat my mother there’d be hell to pay. Add to that he stole children that weren’t even his. The mother was 9yrs. older than him, a teenager. Wonder why she had a nervous breakdown (hint).

As far as I'm concerned Robert is their father and Terry is their sperm donor. The mom calmed that she did not want to hurt her daughters, but she ripped their hearts out.

Let's not ignore the lie detector test because it showed the mother was telling the truth that she was abused and tricked into giving up her children.Clearly, she was not stable, and she admitted it and credited dad for the job he did with the girls. Single Black Women has been taking care of their children forever as every single black men should as well. Both women and men can take use their children , even taking them away from each other. In this case, it could have also been for revenge for sleeping with the man's best friend.
That said,
both parents genuinely love these girls and they all need some support to heal.

He lied and canived to get those girls, yes its a good thing he got them and treated them good to keep them from foster care, but its the way he did it, now he's old and the lies he told and the caniving he done has come back to haunt him, he did all he could to take that girl kids only to find out that their not his. Even if the daughters don't feel emotionally capable nor emotionally mature enough to meet their biological father, the grandchildren deserve to know their biological grandfather and their biological cousins. The daughters are blaming the wrong person. Their biological father is not the enemy. They need therapy ASAP to excise that internal misguided fear that prevents them from getting to know their biological father.

I absolutely have the utmost respect for single parents. My father raised my sister and I because my mother had some issues. He'd tell me I'm his favorite son.. Lol I really miss both of my parents. I miss my husband a lot. All three of them passed away from cancer. My dad in 2007, mom in 2021 and my Mike on May 10th 2022. Married 23 years, I'm 39 with my daughter 19, and my son 20. I'm sorry for over sharing but it's helpful to do so. Happy holidays everybody.. 🙏☺️
Please Don't ever be sorry for getting your feelings out , your absolutely right holding everything in is not good for you ! May not mean much comming from a stranger but I truly am sorry for all you have lost , 1 thing that helps me is beliving our souls live on and we will be with our loved ones again! There’s something about Robert that comes across as a man who made a decision to bully his way into taking what he’s wanted all his life. This is the best comment. I totally agree. Robert is a big ole mean bully and it shows. I pray these girls have reached out to Terry to fill in the missing pieces. There's more to this story and I'm sure Terry would tell them the truth. Robert was 27, dealing with an 18 year old. Let that sink in. He manipulated mom and she told the truth and her lie detector test proved she was manipulated and abused by Robert.

The twins mom is beaming with pride, she sat there and marvels at her beautiful daughters. I had triplets with my mom close, 1 died almost right away I was a shell of myself, it damaged me as a person. I was on auto pilot broken. Guilt written, I wish I could go back a hug there mom back when she felt so empty and facing opposition 🌺💕🌹❤️🙏🏽🫂 guys hold on to your parents and leave the past where it is. 😘🙏🏽

I didn't need a test to prove he abused her. I believed that.. but it would have been better if he took a test to. Because those questions are interpretations of what she believed. It would have been nice if they asked him why he lied about it

Robert seems spiteful in the beginning when he found out his wife was cheating, and Robert seems spiteful at the end when all the truth came out that those were not his daughters. If he doesn’t stop being spiteful, he’s going to ruin all their future relationships with their mom and their mom and Robert. Even though he was a good dad, he’s still a terrible person for being so mean. He stole those children. He doesn’t forgive, he gets even. He didn’t forgive the mom when she was young, and it doesn’t look like he is wanting to forgive her now, for her young indiscretion
You nailed it. I've worked as a Social Worker for 22 years and when I first started in child welfare children were removed from moms for the simplest infraction. Robert is a mean big bully and it shows. I believe he knew those girls were not his but kept them to further rub it in their mother's face at some point. Even the mom asked him to stop being so mean and he just sat there looking deceitful. I pray these two women see the entire picture.
He manipulated and beat a young woman and took her children. She had low self esteem and suffered domestic abuse.
It seems like he took them out of spite but actually became attached to them and loves them. Sorry but he seemed deceitful no matter how good of a job he did taking care of them. That was a very controlling move he pulled.

What's the point of bringing this up 20 years later when these girls were perfectly happy with the dad you left them with?! No, they will get through this and it's always best to know the truth. What if they need a family medical history? What if they have half-siblings? She not only 'claimed' he was abusive. The lie detector proved it. He knew she was cheating and must have known that the kids might not be his. He wanted the kids but wanted to get her out of the picture. Again, the lie detector showed that he lied to the authorities to remove her from the kids' lives. He was much older than her and she probably had no one to turn to for help. I didn't get any good vibes from him. Yes, he did fine by the girls but that doesn't mean he's generally a good person.

My dad raised me & my three siblings issues herself with drugs and alcohol she jumped from man to man and it would have killed me if 20 years later she told me my dad what my dad I had a happy childhood I had a older sister & brother and a young sister by 2 years my dad passed in 1998 and my mom in 2021. I've been married for 35 years & 4 kids 11 grandchildren

I live in Louisiana. My son's three kids were put in foster care bc their mother wasn't feeding them. My son had to come home and feed them. They were left in their room in the dark while the mother stayed in her room eating and watching tv and probably had a guy in their while my son was at work. CPS in Louisiana don't work hard to put the children back with the parents. The caseworker was accepting bribes (I saw the foster mom give her an envelope and when the caseworker saw me looking, she hurried up and put the envelope in her purse). Why do that? That makes it look like she's being paid off bc the foster mom wanted my pretty granddaughter. (Also why would white people be fostering mixed children? So when they go out in public, people know they are fostering children? Why not foster white children if you feel so wholeheartedly wanting to foster children?). The case worker had told my son one time that they get $2,000 per child that is adopted out. When my older daughter and I went to the caseworker's supervisor and we told her about the foster mom giving the caseworker an envelope and how guilty the caseworker looked when she saw me look her way, the supervisor told us not to tell the Judge that. Why? In the end, my three grandchildren were adopted in 2017 and 975 children were adopted in Louisiana that year. Add it up. $2,000x975=$1,975,000 to split between the few caseworkers in Alexandria/Pineville LA. I didn't try to get custody as I was working 90+ hours a weeks and not getting overtime/holiday pay. I didn't have a good enough house to put my grandchildren in. Or else I would have tried to get custody of them. My son and the mother were over 21, so I felt that I should let them handle their situation. Many times I regret not getting a bigger and better house and worked less so I could be there for my grandchildren. I'll never forgive myself for not stepping in to get them. I'll probably never see my grandchildren again. And that hurts A LOT.
I think the state should have done a DNA test before they handed two baby girls over to a man when mom said there were two possibilities. They didn’t listen to anything the mom said because they didn’t think much of her. She didn’t come from anything and didn’t know how to be a mom. He was dang near 30 and she was 18 fresh out of foster care. The whole situation is sad. The state could have at least done that DNA from 9 months old!
The twins seem to be good ladies and Kaitlyn is so well rounded and she seems like she’s done amazing with her mental health. I wish I coulda been a fraction of that when I was 20.

That was my take on it, too. He was abusive to the mother, got to know she was cheating and did what would hurt his partner more than anything else. Took away her children! I hope the girls would find it in their hearts to make some sort of contact with their biological father. They might have siblings out there. I'd want to get to them even if I wouldn't want any contact with my dad. But siblings are innocent. And you never know when you might need a complete family medical history for yourself or your kids.
I agree, however their mom could have stated he was not the father from day 1 and they would have done a dna test and this could have been prevented!

The mother did what was the best thing for them. He was mean spirited and mistreated her. She had no self worth and self esteem. Plus her other daughter was lost. She did the best thing she could do.
I knew that Robert had beat this women. It reminded me of my sister. Only thing good about this is that Robert raised these twins. These twins are wrong for not reaching out to their real dad because if it wasn't for him they wouldn't be here today. All this stupid jealousy, and all parents should never ever bash another parent. Robert you should have been hurt over 20 years ago when you put your hands on that women at her weakest time. She lost another child and you lied and beat on her. The only credit you get is that you raised those children but the way you did it is disturbing. Constant bashing isn't going to get you anywhere. One daughter overheard a conversation at 8 that Terry was her father. Robert should have tried to also get clarification then. Robert was an old pervert 27 and dating an 18 year old. Manipulating and physically and emotionally abusive. He called CPS. I pray that their past truths will help them grow. Kaitlyn is so mature. Robert said he will always say bad things about their Mom. I think initially he did it to be spiteful but as time went on it was better that they where with him. mom didn't help the situation either as she was young and didn't know.
It turned out for the better even when both parents talked about each other. Those girls formed their own opinion about their father and about their mother. God worked it out and now restoring their relationship and that's what matters.

I feel terrible for all involved in this saga, especially the innocent children. This episode is Exhibit 1 through 100 in the case for paternity tests being mandatory at birth. Paternity tests should be as accessible and cheap as the standard pregnancy test. The longer mysteries linger, the harder the truth stings when it's finally revealed.
I get the test for people who want them, but mandatory? No. I slept with one man and he knows my son is his, I dont need to be degraded because other folks sleep around. Not my issue

The test is for the man and child to be 100 percent sure that they are father of the child whom they'll be financially and physically responsible for rearing. A paternity test isn't degrading, and if you think that, then realize that your feelings are not more important than a child having proof of who their father is. A paternity test isn't about YOU, and that's okay.

Why is no one asking why a damn near 30 yr old man sexing up an 18 yr old to start with. I believe mom that he was abusive and he taught those girls that she abandoned them which now they know was a damn lie! I hope the girls give their real dad a chance. Before results: Erica needs to totally own up. If it wasnt for her daughter finding her she would still be gone. She is responsible for her own actions as a mother. Yes other things is a factor why she dont got custody but thats not a reason to stay away from your kids for 11-15 yrs. She wrong. She is stuck in the past with her emotions. The man that lied on the kids technically stole her children out of spite and now wants to put the blame on the mother . He created his situation with raising his ex friend children. I applaud him for being there but he did beat on the mom, lied on the mom and took her children instead of helping her.

He darn well knew the kids might not have been his and the lie detector test showed the mother was telling the truth about his abuse and deceit.Why ignore that! Plus, these older men picking up broken young girls and expecting them to be mature is ridiculous and just about control.I would like to know why the Lie detector tests was brushed over, though.The results isn't an excuse but it does put things into perspective.
She told the truth about what he did, he physically abused her, and physical abuse does not happen without verbal abuse and emotional abuse, and lying to the government to take a child away from a mother is about as despicable as a person can get, good thing they now know the whole truth about him and what he did to their mother

Before watching any results. Terry's absence tells who he really is. What kind of parent he continues to plan to be. absent. I do think it is bad that Terry could not come to the show over something so important. The twins has a right to be angry at him not showing up. When Terry came to their house when they were 8 or 9 yrs old why didnt Terry do anything then.

Before lie results: guessing. Yes its possible that 27 ish yr old Robert was abusive to 18 yr Erica. He could have lost his temper and patience with Erica's behavior. immature and cheating with Terry.

Im glad the twins had Robert. He saved the twins from foster care. Yes i believe he said bad things about Erica. All men say bad things about exs. Plus that was is opinion of why the kids mother was not around.

After lie results: Erica revealed further past mental health issues. Even thanked Robert for taking good care of the girls when she did not. After this Robert and Erica needs to stop bad talking about each other to the kids. Vent to their best friend but not the kids. Robert is black and white no grey area. Robert has no compassion for Erica. Kaitlyn told her Dad to stop. let the past go.

Robert got back what he did to the mom. So he really hurted himself and those girls.he did good with them. But he set him self up. I think he love the mom still but they don't get alone

Look at what parents expose their children to!!! You are not faithful and you pass all the blame to the man who raised your kids!!! It is quite clear she had issues despite passing the test. They are people who are very good at passing tests even if they did otherwise, after all the polygraph test reads emotions in your body. If you are good at controlling them definitely you will pass.
The man I spent time with, at his home, after my mom broke up with him I found out was not my father. My mom knew it and I never understood why she sent me with him. He was an alcoholic and had a new girlfriend who hated me. During a visit she cut all my beautiful red hair into a little Afro, like hers. Well at around 11 I found out another man was my father. He was a married 27 year old man who got my 14 year old mortared pregnant. Statutory rape,. Paternal issues can ruin your life and any sense of what you thought was true about yourself.
So why she did not visit
She said she was homeless and he was more stable to raise them .and then she said he called CPS and stole her daughters.
Spoiler alert… I don’t wanna spoil the ending for you, because I got to watch it without it being spoiled but…
Although these girls, mother somewhat abandon them, OK, pretty much abandon them. And since they weren’t even in contact with their real father, so essentially, both of their parents, abandon them. In the grand scheme of things, being raised by this man, who is not even their dad was probably the best possible scenario for them. I feel that the mom knew she was not capable of raising these twins properly, and that the real dad probably didn’t want anything to do with them at the time. So them ending up being raised by this man I feel is actually The best outcome. They seem like very intelligent, well spoken, levelheaded women and he did an awesome job raising them. We will never know what the mom was going through mentally after her one child in foster care died, and yes, she probably was not the best mom and wasn’t stable at that time and maybe still even is not to this day. But, she sensed they would be better off with him, and she just let it happen. Good luck to these girls. They seem like awesome people and I’m sorry that they have to go through this pain now as adults.
How did Terry abandon them if he didn't know that he was the father????

It's sad that they can forgive the mom but not the biological dad or even give him a chance. All the adults played a part in what happened. It was made to seem like he did the most damage but he didn't from this angle
