Someone shouldn’t be “my whole world”. They should be part of it otherwise you end up tolerating being disrespected, treated like trash and even have your health at risk if they’re sleeping around. Someone who is part of your life means you can move forward if they’re not even if it’s hard because if they loved you that love wouldn’t be causing you pain and humiliation.

That’s why we should be “whole” before getting into relationships. If she was happy she wouldn’t be venting to her daughter. She don’t think she can do any better or no one wants her. I’m a classic introvert and have social anxiety. For those reasons I don’t have a lot of close friends. I found myself venting to my daughter quite a bit. I stopped myself cold turkey and pushed to trust family, friends enough where I didn’t feel a need to share with her. She need to stop allowing her daughter in her relationship.

Honestly, don't let anyone treat you like your not worth it. Relationships are meant to be a partnership in everything. You should not have to doubt your loved, supported and that they have your back. Don't get married until your 100% sure you have that in someone and they have that in you. Your relationship should never make you more unhappy than it makes you happy.... it's just not worth it otherwise. You should be be as invested in it.
