What did you do @5:50 ? You were about to explain how to check that the water level sensor is working, but the phone rang and you forgot to mention what you looked for. Thank you very much for making this video.
Hi You say the Rocket is a bit overrated, what do you recommend, I have the Breville 920 and have had it for over 5 years and have been very happy with it. But when it dies I was just thinking what I might look at buying. Kind Regards John
The pressurestat pipe might be partially clogged, the initial issue would be overheating, which made the element to work too hard, till the customer found out that is not heating.
@@ddavidi81 hey appreciate the reply! I changed the heating element, pressurstat, boiler thermostat, and solid state relay a few weeks ago. Still not working. My next things to try are the control box and/or the 2 way solenoid. This thing has me pulling my hair out!
@@gdubwilksI am sorry that you had to change so many things. A multimeter would have helped a lot here. You start by checking one by one, from the bottom. The heating element, pressurestat should show a closed circuit, or a certain resistance if you are using an ohmmeter. Solid state can be switched on with some volts. If no 110/230V (do not know if you are in USA or EU) is comming at the heating element, the problem can be isolated to the control box (you said you changed the solid state relay, so I assume it is working). In the control box, usually there´s a relay which control the solid-state relay. When you first switch ON the coffee machine, you should hear a click. If you hear the click and still measure no voltage at the heating element, your problem is a ca. 5€ problem. Change the relay with the same type, and you are done.
Hi I have a rocket expresso that with no pressure at all. Heating element is OK, pump works, there is no clog (that i would find) only selenoid coil seems "weak" but i didnt try this trick with water level sensor :) Would you have any other options what could be wrong? When turned on I hear a click from electric box and nothing happens.. Oh yes and electronic box was changed like few months ago when machine was cloged among the other things.. (fixing a friends coffe machine) :)
There are lots of questions, and perhaps it would be better if you bring the machine in. How do you know the element is fine? If the element is fine, it can be the pressure state, the computer, the tank switch ( not reading the rear tank is full. Chase the power to the element and see where it stops.
@@coastcafeequipment resistance of element is OK also I have put voltage (230V - im from EU) directly on element and it started heating up :) Computer is new, tank was full... i get water out of machine (pump works) but its not heated. Im not geating steam nor hot water.. there is no pressure.. fact is that heating element doesnt turn ON and heat water that builds pressure but why is the question. Maybe because boiler is empty or computer sees it that way... selenoid doesnt let through water to boiler?? Safety of L and N are ok. I like fixing stuff myself just for learning process of stuff :)
@@coastcafeequipment I checked the voltage and I get only 80V on the heating element (when the machine is cold and turned ON) as you said pressure state gives info to the control box on how much voltage should heating element get so it might be the problem.... also steam "vent valve" is leaking - I put voltage directly onto the heating element and got hot water but noticed it leaking on the top of the steam valve. After how much time should I get some needle movement on the pressure gauge? Thx for help :)
please help me i have a rocket apartamento that start overheating so i bought a new pressure stat... i am having trouble installing the new one as the old one does not want to twist off.... its seized or something. i tried putting wd-40 on it and it stil wont come off. what can i do to get this thing off? have you ever experienced this problem? thank you!

Cleaned the probe. Made sure the probe is set so the tank fill half with water

Element was burned out
What would cause an Isomac Millenium 2 to power on but the lights showing the boiler is heating or heated never come on? So no hot water.
A faulty heating element, a faulti relay or solid state relay, a resettable fuse.

Do you have to empty the tank before changing the element?
That's the best way

Use multi grip on pressurestate

Hold it w multigrips or take it off together with the copper pipe that connects to the boiler, easier to work on when out of the machine.
hey mate, which city are you working from?
