He’s really close to getting there but he doesn’t have as much screen time as much as the other 4 so that’s why he wasn’t included. If he had more screen time he would definitely be there

Kotoamatsukami is by far the most broken jutsu in the entire show. Something that was so good, that Kishimoto had to BS it out of existence so the Madara/Obito/Kaguya fights weren't over instantly.

I think Kishimodo’s biggest mistake was scaling way too high way too early. Sasuke was able to keep up with Kakashi for a bit at the beginning of the whole story, and him and Naruto were able to take out Jonin level characters like there was no tomorrow,
Sasuke didn't keep up with kakashi. He pressured him enough to take his eyes off his book. Kakashi outclassed him in every other aspect

Sauske is a literal prodigy and Naruto is a jinchuriki. I think it makes sense that throughout the story they leave everyone else in the dust because they are naturally supposed to be the strongest.
Yeah but it's not like they stand just head and shoulders above their classmates. I can say with confidence that anyone that tries to fight them would be wiped off the face of the Earth with minimal effort. Can you honestly think of any situation in a one on one with anyone not AT LEAST kage level wouldn't be instantly obliterated?

Yeah but here's the thing. Sauske is not the only prodigy we see in the series, neji was also a prodigy, hell he was so good he singlehandedly reverse engineered the protective shield ability of the main hyuga clan. Unfortunately the byakugan doesn't scale like the sharingan so he doesn't get as powerful. Sauske would never have reached the heights he did without the uchiha sharingan. It makes semse that naruto gets so powerful, he's containing a demon fox with near limitless destructive potential, and he works harder and harder with that power. Sauske is just a very talented person from an very powerful bloodline, he has no outside power to draw from, he's not really an anomaly, and its not like he trains overly hard compared to Naruto. Hell it's not even like he's unique in his goals or motivation. But he's an uchiha, and that means that he just has more opportunity for power then most.

I like how you mentioned how authors grow attached to certain characters. This particularly rings a bell with attack on Titan’s Sasha Braus. The author had originally written a chapter where she had been killed off and decide to keep her around a little longer which in my opinion added a-lot more depth, dynamism and story to her character.
Also, you mention that only Misato, Jiraiya, and Naruto know the rasengan, however doesn’t kakashi know the rasengan but never use it?

i mean i think that still holds true only a few uchiha were ever seen on screen with the sharingan relative to their clan size. like even if danzo collected like 20 sharingan their clan was probably like 300 ppl big. and good genes can factor in on your skill level so its not weird to think sasuke and itachi and now sarada were more likely to get it from their lineage.

That's because with byakugan they can see the chakra system directly and on top of that they have nearly 360 vision. Sharingan(at the time what we knew) could copy jutsu, read movements, and evoke genjutsu. The reading into the future thing was kakashi just fucking with zabuza and using fear to distract him from the battle and defeat him. Not until the introduction of itachi's mangekyo did we see there was more to sharingan than that, and then even later we see the susanoo. Basically byakugan is a weak rinnegan.

I kind of like how Boruto is painting Sarada at the moment. She's having to struggle with a Sharingan that only has 2 Tomoe because you can only unlock more+Mangekyo by experiencing extreme emotion and she hasn't yet/probably won't. It really gives you a good idea of what your average Uchiha had to deal with, and ones without sharingan probably had it even worse. In the manga she has 3, she specifically used it to focus her vision enough to see a Virus that the enemy had(Trying not to spoil cause the Boruto manga is GREAT)given to her and her allies.
The only reason we think that the Sharingan is so strong is First, because every living uchiha had it, even though we know for a fact that most uchiha actually didn't. The Sharingan is incredibly hard to unlock, but we don't really get to see that so much considering that Sasuke unlocked his in the first arc in the series. That's why watching Sarada unlock her's much more slowly, she's still a Prodigy but not in the same way that Sasuke and Neji were, she wasn't gifted she just works really hard and is extremely academic(Boruto is a Prodigy that's more similar to Neji and Sasuke). The fact that she's sitting here struggling to use the Sharingan to it's fullest because she actually can't fullfill the conditions to unlock it completely is pretty nice i have to say.
I like the idea that the Boruto child characters aren't actually that strong because they were raised during peacetime unlike almost everyone from the og series. But I thought most Uchiha did unlock their Sharingan eventually. I mean, everyone experiences extreme emotions a few times in their life.
@@aguywithalotofopinions412 It also depends on if they inherit the genes. Not all Kekkai Genkai are inherited in every offpsring. Naruto cant do the Uzumaki clan sealing techniques(which are kekkai genkai since Karin didnt know how to use the one with the chains till later), Boruto didnt inherit the Byakugan, Kimimaro was the only one in the Kaguya clan to have inherited the bone kekkai genaki in several generations, the list goes on. The only reason why a lot of Uchiha had the sharingan during the era of warring states was it was at that point the main reason they survived. Those that didn't unlock the sharingan ended up dying so it became a more dominate gene. During an era of peace it probably became recessive due to those born without it could live long enough to reproduce.

The Uchiha clan is the biggest plot hole in the series. Think about it, everyone in the clan has the potential of awakening the Mangekyou Sharingan if they go through pain and then have Kage Level skills instantaneously. And since the world of Naruto was filled with war, it isn’t hard to imagine an Uchiha kid awakening the Mangekyou through the loss of a friend.
Also, it seems that the only skill common to all of them is The Susanoo. Now imagine an army of Charkra Megazords running around town
Exactly what I thought, originally it was that you had to kill your best friend which in Itachi’s case makes sense with Shisui, but then it changes to just having to experience great loss which is pretty common in Naruto
Except you need a lot of Chakra to use the Mangekyo abilities, let alone susanoo. To much Chakra loss will kill you. So yeah, the mangekyo is useless in the hands of a non skilled person. Even the base sharingan if you are not trained to fight. No matter the reaction time, if you freeze of shock, you're dead! And let's not forget that people go blind! Like who in their right mind would use this power if it blinds you. Izanagi even immediately after one! use. If an undkilled Uchiha uses it two times against an stronger opponent, you have a blind Uchiha who is defenseless.
The odds for the eternal mangekyo sharingan are very slight, you need good medics to not get an infection and a close blood related pair of eyes that too has the mangekyo.
And the rinnegan only gets awakened by the combination of the Chakra of the sons of the six paths. Namely the incarnations. Other than that the rinnegan is impossible to get by any Uchiha.
So I would say these eyes are useless with an unskilled weilder.

I never realized how cramped everything looks on paper, but Kishimoto does a great job of not making it seem too fast-paced. He makes it flow, and It didn't feel rushed.

My issue with Uchiha is the same as my issue with strong bloodlines with all series.

Kishimoto didn't *have to* keep giving these characters OP abilities in order to fight the OP villains. Before the time skip, the series focused around *strategy and teamwork* in order to overcome tough obstacles. After the time skip, it devolved into one power boost after another and the majority of the side characters got shat on in favor of Naruto and Sasuke hogging all the spotlight.
That is wrong. Sakura vs. Sasori was about team work, Team 7 vs. Sasuke was about getting beat as a team, both fights against the immortal duo were about team work. Even Naruto vs. Pain was about all the information collected from Jiraya and Kakashi and passed down to Naruto before he could defeat Pain. The war itself didn't have a single battle without team work. Just because Naruto and Sasuke kept getting more overpowered with each of those arcs it doesn't mean the strategy and team work factor was gonna, in fact, I just proved it wasn't.
Actually, I went back and watched the Sakura vs Sasori fight and I noticed that Sakura was nearly more of a hindrance than a benefit. She would have been killed like 15 times over if Chiyo hadn't been literally pulling her strings. A little old grandma was skilled enough to protect both their asses while fighting Sasori at the same time. Sakura pretty much acted as a meat shield to ensure Chiyo survived. And the only reason they won is because Sasori allowed them to do so. Even Chiyo admits he could easily have dodged that attack, had he wanted to.
As for the War, I don't think many people gave a crap about it. Like everybody I know of who's talked about the war says it's extremely boring until Madara shows up, and one of the worst arcs in Shipuuden. But I stopped reading the series after Obito was unmasked, because I refused to accept any more ass pulls from this horribly written story.

The problem is very simple, something Kishimoto admitted himself in an interview, he needed to keep hyping the fans up, so he kept making the Uchihas stronger and stronger (specifically madara) and at one point he had no idea how he’s gonna have madara defeated, which not only made the uchihas an OP mess, but also gave birth to kaguya

Once again. Sasuke and the Uchiha clan are pretty much the creators pet. The fact that the Uchiha specialize in this kind of jutsu shows just how powerful they are.

TL;DR: the Uchiha are OP for many other reasons besides the fact that they are Kishimoto's preferred plot device. All else being equal, an Uchiha is far more likely to win an encounter against another shinobi of the same tier.

Even without Sasuke, Itachi, Obito and Madara being such important main characters the statement: 'The Uchiha are overpowered' is not wrong. Given the amount of Sharingan Obito and Danzo collected indicates it is not that difficult for an Uchiha to awaken his/her basic Sharingan. Even with a Sharingan that is not Mangekyou, the user can see the opponent's chakra flow in order to predict their moves and can also copy the opponent's jutsu. A basic Sharingan also gives the user access to Izanagi and Izanami which are some of the most broken abilities ever, even if they come at the cost of an eye. This makes Uchiha with a basic Sharingan already very powerful. And they just get even more powerful if they awaken Mangekyou. A person's Mangekyou Sharingan comes with unique and powerful abilities like Amaterasu and Kamui. Also, a person who has awakened Mangekyou in both eyes, they get access to their own Susanoo, which is also extremely broken. Granted, using Mangekyou Sharingan too much results in disease and blindness but they're still incredibly powerful.

I thought the uchiha was just a kind of trope of a super strong, talented clan. Then I learned about all the symbolism between the sharingan and Japanese myth, like about the Shinto gods Izanagi and izanami, and how they gave birth to Amaterasu, tsukiyomi, Susano’o. Those three were born from Izanagi’s body parts, the left eye, right eye, and nose, respectively. When I learned that my opinion of the uchiha and the sharingan changed. It was way more thought out than I gave it credit for in the beginning (by beginning, I mean that I didn’t learn this until Naruto and sasuke’s final fight after beating Kaguya).

Your comments about kishimoto are very true. As a writer myself, I have a lot of things I like about Naruto, and a few things I don't. He was able to create something great, but he made a lot of bad writing decisions at the same time. He knows how to create a story that is overall super compelling, and he seems to know how to create good characters as well. But since Naruto has a ton of characters. It's very hard to work with. he almost forced himself to play favorites with some characters. But with the characters he does play favorites with, he makes them pretty damn good. All of his favorites have so much complexity to them. While the others don't really have much going for them. And as for the story, he did everything super well except for the war arc and ending of shippuden. I think this was due to kishimoto having a vision for the series that he wasn't willing to adjust at all. Usually as you are creating a story, or this is at least what I do, you have to go with the flow. Do what seems natural, for example, x happened, so therefore y is gonna happen next. I think kishimoto decided last minute that he wanted kaguya and black zetsu to be the final villains, so he had already wrote a story that made it seem like obito and madara were the main villians. But he had to find a way to shoehorn kaguya into the story. So he made black zetsu be the orchestrator of the entire shinobi world, just to bring kaguya back. Which devalued a lot of what had happened throughout the entire Naruto history. And it just felt fake and forced. Kishi for whatever reason, really wanted kaguya as the final villian. But he had no clue how to do it. It would have been alright had he written the story around that and set them up as the villains. But he just went ahead and did it. Honestly, I'm kinda glad he did it the way. purely because if he had written the story around kaguya being the final villain, the rest of the series would have needed to change quite a bit. And we wouldn't have gotten the beautiful series we have now (that is everything before the war arc.) But he even could have maybe fixed the war arc with minor tweaks.
But overall, Naruto is one of my favorite shows of all time.

They wouldnt have created Ninjutsu if the original Uchiha, Indra the son of Hagoromo didnt turn his fathers chakra control "ninshu" into a battle technique. So I THINK, Fire style was the first style ninjutsu ever created. Indra used it and showed it to his human friends.

Yeah I know, but what I meant is that his videos seem a bit contentless nowadays, he's doing mostly revievs of every single Boruto episode and even when explaining video comes out it seems like he's reading parts of narutopedia. Obviously he cannot create things out of nowhere and tell us about things like Borutos dojutsu but I think that if he was explaining more and going into detail maybe with adding something from himself it would be much better. But hey that's just what I think.

White Zetsu = humans + infinite tsukuyomi (+ hashirama cells in the war arc)
Black Zetsu = Naruto + OP madara + quick/dumb retcon to remove OP madara

I'm just realizing that Sasuke went to the wrong person to help him beat itachi, considering how itachi one shot orochimaru and scared him out of the akatsuki lol
It's not like there was anybody else, almost everyone was around Orochimaru's level, or just weaker the only two people that were around Itachi's level were Pain and Obito, the first one wouldn't have trained him, and almost nobody knew Obito existed at the time, something that applies to Pain as well.
