Beautiful trail. But I look at it and wonder how beautiful it will be in Summer. Still great views even with the mist. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Chris and thanks as always for watching. Perhaps I'll film another video here in the summer. Parts of it are not unlike the Dark Peak, all be it on a smaller scale. Around August, the purple heather springs to life.
Hope you're keeping well and warm with any snow that might've reached you. All the best.

@WalksWithOlly I wanted to finish my challenge on Kinder tomorrow, but according to the forecast, it was a warning about frostbite and hypothermia. I'm all for a challenge and risk, but I'll have to wait until the beast from the east passes us. I don't want to be a statistic on the Kinder MRT page. Sadly, I've had to push it back. I tried Saturday, but there was zero parking. I'll get my day, hopefully soon. Weather wise here, just cold. Flurries of snow, but the weatherman thinks it is going to come down hard. So stay safe and stay well.

Hi 👋 A lovely walk but a muddy one too 😊

      Hi Rachel,
Thanks for watching. Muddy walks can be good walks too. I'm in Snowdonia at the moment. Today is wet all day... No mountains but I'll explore the probably muddy woodlands... 😉 All the best and hope you're well.

Olly, a lot of squelching💧💧It looks like you have been having it much wetter than here weather wise (for a change😊) Loved the old well👍 Cool you got some blue sky and the views climbing up Wills Neck👍 As always impressed by the public rights of way👍

      Hi Gerry,
I'm surprised to learn that we'd been having more rain than yourselves. Perhaps that's a good thing though... Anything more than this would've been horrific! I was really glad to get out on this day.
Thanks for watching and I hope you're having a good weekend.

Awesome well there Olly. The water looked a dream inside - I would have taken some home. A super squelchy walk - can you imagine the roads back in the day? And they didn't have nice waterproof boots. Good to see the jacket performing well but even better to see the route and the views. I enjoyed the trail. All the best out there. Mark

      Hi Mark,
Thanks very much for watching. A good point. People would've had to squelch for several miles to get to and from that well. Also the church nearby. I love the Quantock Hills. In a way, it's sad to think how the hills of an AONB like this can be divided up by roads... But that is part of our evolution.
I'm pleased to say at least there I don't know of any wind turbines there or on Exmoor. Although Hinkley Point is very close by.
Thanks again for watching and commenting. I hope your weekend's going well.

@@WalksWithOlly A pleasure Olly. Looks great up there. I can see why you enjoy it so much. Yeah, there would have been a lot of wet feet back in the day. Not so many roads though. Good to heat of the zero turbines. That's something really positive. Well, have a good rest of the weekend.

Did that exact walk on the hottest day of last year ..... almost unbearable heat at Will's Neck ..... each season of the year has it's own beauty.

Thank you for watching, Paul. We did have some insane temperatures last summer and I know that, amongst the gorse and heather, this can be a place where it's hard to escape the heat.
Hope you're having a good weekend and all the best.

Enjoyable watch had a couple of great walks on the hills , that’s a big bag for day walking, did you manage to keep your feet dry

      Hi Alan and thank you.
My leather boots performed very well and yes, my socks and feet remained dry. In spite of all the water. I wouldn't have chanced it with fabric boots.
Yes indeed, the bag was far bigger than I needed it to be but still new, unused and I wanted to try and start breaking it in.
Thank you for watching and all the best.

      Hi Shirley, thanks for watching.
I enjoyed the walk overall, having not been out the previous weekend. I used to park at Fyne Court in Broomfield. Also used to be a National Trust member, where it's now £5 for non-members. And to pay by card, you have to wander down to the cafe (when they're open).
Hope you're having a good weekend.
