At 76 + years still sounds decent, not the same as younger years, but gives a good show. Singing live. Sammy Hagar is once in a lifetime talent. The best rock singer of all time.

Joe's sense of music is so good that he found it's similar chord progression to dance the night away, I heard these songs for decades and never realize this

This song actually makes me realize how good Sammy would actually be at singing Dance The Night Away if he wanted to do another DLR era tune! He’d actually do a pretty good job if you factor in his age and maybe playing in the same tuning as these songs!

Michael actually did sing a snippet of Dance the Night Away on the end of this song at the Bristow, VA show and it sounded good. They didn’t do it at the show I was at on Monday.

Isn’t it so cool that Joe Satriani who was Steve Vai’s teacher who played with David Lee Roth is playing in this band?

I love Sammy, Michael and Jason, but this whole BOAW's Tour is a complete disaster. First of all, for a Tribute to Eddie, why is Sammy singing so much of his own material? Not to mention, the always clinical and Soul-Less Joe Satriani doing "Satch Boogie"? Guitarist-wise, Sammy should have hired Reb Beach, Paul Gilbert or Alex Skolnick for example. Also, Sammy has this long video montage before they hit the stage NOT of Eddie/VH, but showcasing Sammy's career. Huh?? And not to state the obvious, it would have been great to have DLR sing his songs, and Sammy do his VH-era material. So basically, we have the Chickenfoot band, doing a tribute to Eddie. I don't know what the Production Crew was thinking when this was organized, but this whole thing is a complete let-down, and comes across very half-assed. I know I'm not the only one who thinks that based on comments I have seen online and on RUclips.

Hagar was either lying about this being a tribute to Eddie's legacy or backtracked on the idea. He's so caught up in his disdain for Roth, that he can't let it go and realize that Eddie wrote the music. I find it interesting that in Michael Anthony's interview with Eddie Trunk a couple weeks before the tour started, he stated that he suggested several deeper tracks from the Roth-era and Hagar refused. Anthony seems a little miffed, in the nicest way possible, of course. I'd love to see Anthony go out on a tour or just do a one-off concert with other musicians and guest singers for an honest-to-goodness tribute to Eddie and Van Halen.
