Shred shop makes really good videos especially the 14 things series. Why do already existing 14 things episode to get re-posts as if new. You can tell it’s dated because it says a current team rider is Collin provost who is currently on creature.
Toy machine has always been my favorite skate brand, ever since I was a little girl and saw Elissa Steamer in the jump off a building video! Made this amazing thing seem accessible to me, as a girl!
I remember seeing Ed Templeton doing ollie impossible`s in Transworld and I ended up obsessed with the trick, eventually ended up breaking my ankle trying it down a rather large set of 8 stairs...
I still have a Roy Machine "Good&Evil" skate DVD. It's kinda sad how lazy society has gotten & skateboarding isn't really a thing nowdays. You are lucky to find ONE skate shop in a city now. They used to be everywhere.
I re-built a brand new Toy Machine last year with some independent trucks. I had been off the board for nearly seven years due to injuries & such. Forgot how much pop toy machines have! Such a good setup
Ps stix are the shit.. looking to jump back into skating with the same board brand and trucks. Riding the medium or mellow concave with Indy standards?
Toy Machine has seen so many different eras and different looking teams. It's amazing how much it's changed over the years and has always been sick. Ed is the strangest dude in an awesome way, and from what I've seen he's a really sweet person. Good and Evil was the first Toy Machine video to come out once I began skating, I don't remember if I'd seen live, heavy metal, welcome to hell or jump off a building yet. I bought a used zero complete and got another for Christmas, but the first board I ever picked out for myself was a Toy Machine after seeing someone at the local skatepark with one. Loved it
That's awesome! I have to agree, Toy Machine is one of the few brands that's been through many team changes and somehow always maintained a really cool brand identity.
A brand I'd personally like to know more about is Hubba wheels, like they fell off the face of the planet. Used to always know it was them in the skate ads by the half naked ladies. Would love a 14 Things video on them

I met Ed at Santa Rosa skatepark in the mid 90’s. He was there with the team, filming for Welcome to Hell. We took him and the guys over to Piner High to film on the 8 stair rail there. We’re actually in the film in the background (the local SR groms of that time). Muska 50-50’d it first try. Olsen was there. Anderson was there. I think Ed hit it too. Ed’s balls were purple from a handrail nutt’r. He showed all the kids. He wore tighty whities. We made fun of him. Nice guy, little weird I suppose. Showed us 12 year olds his busted nuts, claimed he had a tiny Dick, 😆 none of us cared or thought much of it. Skaters were all kinda weird back then and way harder core (mentally I mean, as in nothing offended us). I remember Anderson doing this big frontside flips in the snake run. It was a demo put on by Surf Plus, back in the day (the local shop).
Welcome to hell will definitely be on my top 5 vids of all time forever...the vibe...the soundtrack...they dont make`em like that anymore for too many years god damnit! (maybe except for zero vids who keep it real...and when i say real i mean 90s! haha) I bought Jump Of A Building back in `99 while on a trip to Canada with my fam, I think i can say that Kerry Getz is my favorite rider...he just blew me away with his style But Mike has a special place in my heart with his part in WTH along with the Misfits song...i just get butterflies (instead of getting psyched? lol) every time i see it =] cheers
