Nice video. These horseshoe coin cases were very popular about 40 years ago. And very practicle. But I do not see them anywhere for sale anymore. So the only way is to make one yourself. This video is a big help. But I'm happy that You Tube has the possibility to change the speed to 25% of the original speed. That was way too quick for me. Thanks for sharing.
hi ! I have this isuue: I don't have a no.8 pricking iron. so, please tell me what is the distance between prongs, in order to match the stitching holes for coin gusset with the flap. also, what thickness the leather has? Thanks!
But where can I find a pricking iron with 2.5 mm between the prongs? 2.5mm = Number 11 2.7mm = Number 10 3.0mm = Number 9 3.4mm = Number 8 3.8mm = Number 7 4.0mm = Equivalent to Number 6.5 4.5mm = Number 6 5.0mm = Equivalent to Number 5.5 Pre-orders closed
Hello, with this pattern it would be necessary to specify which leather (oz.) has to be used. Unfortunately this information is missing. The connection of the gussets are also not done so nicely. Why double? Too bad about the wasted time and leather.
Crafted a beautiful traditional piece of leather. Unfortunately, in the video, right at the beginning, the wrong side of the coin case flap is covered with glue (approx. 56 sec.). Even if it remains in the video like this, a small note about this mistake would be appropriate. I find the individual steps in the video very difficult to understand. The speed, which is much too fast, can easily be reduced on RUclips. I would have expected more from you .
Sorry about that. I have made a new and more detailed video about the horse shoe coin purse. Have you seen it ? ruclips.net/video/S0No3NOgKDY/видео.html
I bought your pattern but the youtube link for the tutorial in the pdf says no longer available. I hope this is not it because you moving 100MPH with no narration is kind of useless to me.
Dear Greg thank you for buying the pattern. I am here to help you. Please tell me how and I will do my best to assist you. I have tried to use the link in the pdf and it worked fine with me, in any cases you could find the video as you are commenting on it and you could also see it on the page of my website before your purchase here: am-leathercraft.com/collections/coin-cases/products/horse-shoe-coin-case-patterns-video-tutorial Contact me and I will make sure everything is working fine for you. Thanks!
I thought this was it but was hoping for something a little different like maybe this was a preview. I'm just used to tutorials having narration. This video does show how you assemble it but it goes so fast it's difficult to tell what you're doing in places. It's probably just me. It will be fine. Thanks for responding.
Dear Greg, RUclips allows you to play the video slower, just click the gear icon on the right end corner of the video and select speed. Maybe this can help
Thank you, I wasn't aware of that. I'm sure it will help. The problem for me is the speed and I know you were trying to get the whole thing into just a few minutes but that is what has proved difficult for me. Thanks again for replying.
😡...only now have I noticed that this video does not belong to the pattern. But the link on the pattern leads exactly to this video! What is this all about? Too bad about the lost time and leather.
Hello, Sorry about that, where did you buy the template ? Please see the other video I made about the horseshoe coin case here ruclips.net/video/S0No3NOgKDY/видео.html Does this help ?

Why is gusset not glued on stitch edge if two leathers have stitch holes
Hello, I bought that pattern on your website it’s amazing, but what type of leather did you use for the coin case??
I used an oily finish calf
I do not want to bother you, but can you do another video explaining step-by-step how to craft it? Pd: I’m new in this world of leather craft
I actually made another one already, here it is ruclips.net/video/S0No3NOgKDY/видео.htmlfeature=shared

About 2.5mm should be right. The leather is about 1.1mm
Thanks !

According to this chart, found on the internet, 2.5 is no11, not no8, like the description in your video
