I don't think normal people would learn the police penal codes for fun... makes you wonder what the kid did before deciding to do that...
i think likely his father/mother was a really dedicated cop and would teach him about codes, but a more heartbreaking thing is that he wanted to be a cop and learned some codes so he can be ready
Might have studied them to use as a loophole if they ever got caught (but didn’t account for his friend having the knife)

No one in my family is law enforcement and when I was a kid, I didn't want to be a cop or listened to police radios but I memorized them.
But I was also a weird kid so...
I do learn them in spare time
I feel really bad for the guy who just got out of prison. Seems like he was genuinely trying to turn his life around and his "wife" goes and tries to poison him. Gods are humans a garbage lot

Watching these clips makes me want to watch the show. I thought the relationships would be wack but most partners seems to have their own vibe to them
i adore the chemistry these actors have and the bonds their characters have on this show…so many great pairings, Chen/bradford, grey/Nolan, Wesley/Lopez and many more, so great! (didn’t expect it either)
I love how criminals in shows come right like it’s nothing

LL Armstrong it does! It was renewed. It’s supposed to air in the Fall but unsure of date. Possibly October or November

Horrifying thought: this new season ended with a cliffhanger, and cop focused shows are extremely unpopular right now with the George Floyd riots. So we might have another Firefly scenario on our hands.

@@mikodesh 911 is good and i dont think there is any trouble because their focus is rescue. Chicago PD in the other hand may have some troubles since many times their cops don't follow the rules to catch their suspects.

Make of that as you will, but I see that as a form of neglect. They also shortened what it was, habitual is important.
@@internationalspacestation7471 My dad was drunk as a skunk and his girlfriend high on heroin when they were supposed to look after me when i was a baby. The cops arrested them and my dad lost custody of me. I say good riddance.

Actually Section 12020 from what I recall is "gone" as in useless. The good old California legislature decided to SPLIT all of the weapons related laws ALL OVER the damned place and no longer have them collected in one section (with various subsections). I used to have that part of the penal code memorized because that way a cop couldn't give me a hard time over something I KNEW was legal. But now CA's penal code is a total mess. Sure, some of the GUN stuff is one section but the other items which could be 'weapons' are all over the map now.

@@racersCompilations The show has already been renewed for season 3. Also, George Floyd's unfortunate death by police has nothing to do with whether or not this show stays on the air. It's about the ratings and whether the network has viable advertisers willing to pay money during the show's airing time slot.
