The problem with Option 2 is that it is ILLEGAL!! Looks like michigan have chosen #2 as their path to winning and to do this, allegedly, over a minimum of 2 years!! Fair Question: Are you actually good if your success is result of cheating? I think not. As a side note and possibly the worse result of cheating is the extremely bad example that it gives to young men who are looking to the coaches for, at least, some kind of guidance in how to be a good man that can succeed in life by playing by the rules. Really, really sad. If there are no immediate consequences, the absolute wrong lesson is taught and, regretfully, learned.
100 percent agree. Yeah they broke the rules and cheated but Michigan fans don't care. It's as close as they'll ever get to a legitimate championship. Hopefully one day the NCAA will right this wrong.

Jim only caused a hinderance to UM this season, and after promising not to go off to the NFL last year he did. You can say the NCAA violations are silly but it sounds like the ncaa has proof that Harbaugh lied about not knowing things, so ums problems are only going to get worse. Harbaugh shouldn't have lied to the NCAA and that would be a level one instead of a level 2 that amounted to all the games missed. I also think modern tech allowed Harbaugh to get around the sanction of not being at the game. The point is that he shouldn't be able to affect the team. No player being suspended would be allowed to have a pseudo presence like that; why should he? I mean srsly it didn't have an intended affect at all @ penn st or Ohio st.
I'm still waiting for someone to explain how Michigan "won by cheating" against all the ranked opponents (PSU, OSU, Iowa, Alabama, Washington) when all those games happened _after_ the scouting story broke and Stallions was gone. So they needed to cheat against the weaker teams but not the tougher ones? And this makes sense how?

Michigan should have never been allowed into the playoffs because they cheated.
