Abuelo, Ancestral Echo deserves a look as a commander as he is a blink on a stick for artifacts and creatures. Blink Winter Orb on the opp before your turn and your in business

And if you want to be a little less infuriating to the table you can always just keep re blinking the one ring at the end of your turn

It’s good for resetting the burden counters and getting a fresh draw, but the protection is from cast only. Master Transmuter, however!

@@equivocat Master Transmuter is hilarious with The One Ring hahaha, well for us, not for our opponents. You could also blink Archaeomancer to return Everybody Lives over and over again. The Fog Meta is alive!

My playgroup is doing a $25 deck challenge. I had bought the Ranar precon and upgrades a while back, but never really played him. Put it together for the challenge and holy cow does it slap. Helps everything is pretty much flying in the deck... Ranar can spit out a lot of spirits. I sometimes forget if I exile something of my opponent's he also triggers to make a spirit. Bonkers

    • @bettercommander

Ranar was on my short list too.

Ranar slaps hard, dude. So slept on. Plays offense and defense so well. I know you said budget but I have never seen skullclamp perform better.

Foretell is a nice mechanic and ranar is the foretell commander. Make your hand size limitless, blink some mulldrifter and foretell the top non-foretell cards with ethereal valkyrie so even with limited hand you have a nice backup hand safely in exile!

Dinosaur blink with pantlaza has finaly introduced me to the blink architype and its so stupid fun. 🎉

    • @JetNAmplify
      @JetNAmplify 9 месяцев назад +1

It's like the first sliver but less broken with more interaction.
I acrualy made first sliver and then immediately made pantlaza and I was like, pantlaza is way more interesting since I have to leave mana up to blink. It just is way more fun to play

So I recently built an Abdel/Candlekeep Sage deck, tinkered with it and brought it to my FNM.
I was about to do my combo and my buddy prematurely cast Cyclonic Rift and so I used Essence Flux and buried the Cyclonic rift in my flicker loops stack which gave me 2 life, multiple 1/1 soldiers, coloured mana, and 2 card draws each loop, they thought it was fine...IT IS NOT FINE, LOL. Than I explained how problematic getting coloured mana and card draw is by recasting my whole board and than some AND than I redid the loop to build my board back up and pass turn but by this point my fellow druges had realized how ridiculous it is when you loop coloured mana and card draw and had subsequently passed the game.
I super recommend that if your new to MTG try out different play styles because by doing so you will learn new things about MTG like in this little story I learned all about triggers, spells and stacking them appropriately to have a super fun game :P

I have a blink/initiative deck with Hama Pashar, Ruin Seeker as commander. It's really fun to play and it can get out of hand really fast, sometimes I go from having 3 or 4 creatures in the battlefield to just having so many dungeon triggers I have to pull a calculator to do the math. Once I had 3 Panharmonicons and 3 Radiant Solars in play, kept blinking stuff to get dungeon triggers, my final total came down to 300+ dungeon triggers, Yorion and Preston the Vanisher go brr

Wernog // Hargilde from Stranger Things is my blink shell. I couldn’t just Azorius durdle without a win condition so I end up creating 30 clues a turn and go with Inspiring Statuary with Exsanguinate or Monumental Corruption to shut the door.
Also, no mention of mommy Norn or Gandalf? They’re the power crept blink engines!

Yo brother, I still to this day have brago and derevi both sleeved but I surely have to dislike someone in the pod to bust either of them out. Derevi is a stasis deck and brago is also a stax build. Keep on keeping on my dude.

Thanks for the great video as always! I normally keep my eyes open the whole time, but this time you told me to blink, so I did 😅 Always entertaining. Good commander options depending how you want to go. I would suggest including Zirda if you go Jeskai with the annoying wall. No matter what, Training Grounds is really helpful with those repeated blinkers like Emiel, Deadeye, etc.

I have two blink decks, one of them with Brago and Mistmeadow Witch in the 98. That's right, partner.
    ...
    Livio (Oathsworn Sentinel)//Esior (Wardwing Familiar)
...and it's a control deck which dismantles opponents trying to get at my precious life total.
Not just partner, but also partner with... with...
    Nikara (Lair Scavenger)//Yannik (Scavenging Sentinel)
...and it's about putting counters on my dudes by exiling high-power creatures like Yargle, Rotting Regisaur, and Nessian Boar, so I can distribute those counters. I tried to put in as much ETB stuff as I could, and Tetzimoc (Primal Death) works for both counters (prey counters) and the decent power. Galepowder Mage and Teleportation circle also put in quite a bit of work.
Also, a Semester's End is pretty nice.
Also, don't forget the dudes who have leave-the-battlefield triggers, like Bloodtracker.
But it doesn't stop there, I also did a Friends Forever with...
    Othelm (Sigardian Outcast)//Cecily (Haunted Mage)
...and that brew has lots of evoke dudes, with some requiring them to peace out, rather than hit the field. The blink is not as strong in that one, but hey, Brago's a hard worker. He can't be in every deck at once, and I wouldn't want a proxy taking his job away from him... lol.
    Later.
