I followed all your instructions but no luck, I think it’s my watch, a forerunner 35 that it’s not compatible with the me gene sensor. I wanted it for indoor cycling for when it’s raining.
I bought such a sensor. But he has a problem. When I ride more than 54 km/h the sensor fails and Garmin goes into pause. Have you ever had this problem?
Thanks for the review, Amjid! can you tell if it's possible to use one sensor let's say with my Garmin watch through ANT+ and at another time with my smartphone via bluetooth?
@@amjid Thanks, I've already ordered one for myself along with Cadence and Speed sensor and wonder how reliably HRM strap from them worked for you? I'm planning to use it as a reserve to my Garmin's HRM strap.
Great video! Not sure how to connect speed and cadence to Strava… have you tried on your own? Btw hear rate sensor works well. Seems like strava limitation…
@@amjid thanks for reply, I’ve figure out. Strava doesn’t support speed or cadence at all. Can I pair power or cadence meters? Our plan is to first roll out heart rate monitors with BLE pairing to ensure it’s working as intended before we expand to power/cadence meters or other sensors. We don’t have a hard timeline but if our rollout of BLE pairing works as planned, you can expect power/cadence meter support to be recording devices that we would look at to support in the future. In the meantime, these sensors can be paired with the Wahoo Fitness app. When you connect your Wahoo Fitness and Strava apps, activities recorded with Wahoo Fitness that include other sensor data will automatically upload to Strava. More information about how to connect your accounts can be found here.
i just recently use this sensor for cadence paired with xoss G+. wondering whether is it normal if stop pedalling for few seconds the cadence reading will disappear or sometime if i pedal very slowly, it seems it will read 30RPM then disappear? how about yours on low RPM?
I saw in other reviews that the speed sensor is not as important as the cadence sensor and that they had problems connecting both at the same time to a phone or tablet. Is it okay if I buy just the cadence sensor to use with a bike trainer?
Will they work on a Strava platform if you don't have Strava Premium?....Free Strava only gives users Av speeds rather than actual speed. Will this enable actual speed to be displayed or not? on free Strava? Or is this speed sensor blocked from operating using free Strava?... I went ahead and purchased a H303 HRM and an S3+ sensor,....seems that the Magene products are of a reliable and pretty accurate quality and at a fair price.
Q 1. Is the magene S3+ compatible with Garmin forerunner 45? Q.2 If I buy only one S3+ , do I have to sync with Garmin watch everytime for speed or cadence ? Q.3 I've checked my Garmin connect app couldn't find magene

@@amjid I meant to say I have a upright bike . There is no visible wheel . I’ve connected the device to the pedals for cadence , and its still not picking up in zwift app . @@queenmodegaming hi Chelle, these sensors can only be used with the wheels that are rotating for Speed and with Crank or Pedal for RPM (Cadence). Magene has the indoor bike trainer too.
You wasted my time by firdt watching then trying the mounting and spinning trying to get my cadence reading with the green light mode: can you take this video off as it's misleading!!! CADENCE==RED

Wrong signal, RED = cadence, GREEN = speed

Great video.. What do you think about the magene S314?
Ciao, thank you for this clear and usefull explanation. After that I've got the sensor!

Good thing i saw your comment. Was about to buy this for my Forerunner 35.
will this be accurate if I use it directly connected to my smart phone?

perfect video
thank you a lot 👌🏻

Are you still using the sensor?
How did it preform on the long run?
No I stopped using
Does the cadence sensor show value below 30? Mine tends to drop to zero whenever cadence goes below 30

Ciao. Il mio s3 impostato a cadenza spesso perde la connessione al garmin. Ho cambiato la batteria ma il problema rimane. Hai un consiglio?
Thank you , what app have you used in the end ?
Garmin Connect

It works fine with Strava, you simply need to connect using Bluetooth and in strava you can chose to add this as sensor

Work fine with Garmin forerunner 45. You need to connect by device, not by app.
Anyone using xoss bike computer here?
May i know if this magene sensor is compatible with it? Thnks for the response
Yes, it is compatible, any ant+ capable device is compatible you can buy it from here amzn.to/3571pfH

Connect via Bluetooth
@@amjidFirst thank you for your quick answer.
i have iphone. how ? i oppened my bluetoothws setting, rolled the crank nothing happened.
Connect this via app. Just turn on the Bluetooth on mobile.
If it doesn't work I will recommend to use Strava and sync Strava with mapmyride.
what app are you using to track your stats?
Garmin Connect. You can use strava
Hi sir
I baught this sensor
But how to switch off the sensor after rider please tell me 🙏🙏🙏
You don't need to switch off. It automatically goes in sleep mode once not activate.
@@amjid thanks so much means when I will disconnect it from Garmin it will switch off automatically
Can't install in bryton 15
It supports at+ and Bluetooth
This sensor can not be pair with strava Directly by phone, need by bike comp or watchh
how to change the program from chinese to english
Update app. It will install English versions
Ah strava is wrong! Because strava doesnt support connect extern Sensors anymore and that was läßt summer where it changes
I connected to strava
@@amjid and how? Strava has no option for it since a half year
Facing the same issue with Strava :(. Do you know any workaround like using another app and import the results to Strava?
i suggest you off not buy it for Garmin, the cadence sensor not work! It's a real low quality product.
Well it depends on your need. I am using it for 4 years. Never faced any issue
Buy this from Amazon amzn.to/3571pfH
