I remember getting a hold off a cassette tape of a band called Koinonia Christian jazz band. I was playing percussion for many years, and left it before I except Christ in my heart. I was listening to all Weather Report, but Koinonia music touch my inner soul. I recognize the drummer, and percussionist playing of Alex Acuna, this man who inspire me to start playing percussion again this playing for the Lord! Now 30 years later play in many concerts, recording churches. Thank you Alex Acuna you are my role model I'm still playing I pray for one I have the opportunity to meet you in person. God Bless!!!

Great Video. Yeah Alex is amazing. I always see him working out at the Gym Once a week. He is always TAPPING on something and always playing in his mind away from the instrument.
Alex Acuna is one of my biggest musical influences. I studied his work for many years and can tell you that the man is absolutely INCREDIBLE. It's amazing how someone so awesomely talented is also down to earth and caring.

I remember meeting Alex and rest of Koinonia in Los Angeles back in the 80's when they played at the street festival and they were so gracious. I wasn't saved at the time but they left an impression on me of how real Christians are not full of themselves. Thanks Alex for being a such a good ambassador for our Father.
It's just an expression so to be undertood that in those days when Fussion music was so big every where, yes we touch many and will keep touching many musicians and non musicians for ever...
@h0tsex0r No it doesn't. Okay as you may know, God is the creator of everything so that means he is the creator of music. The purpose of music is to worship and praise God for being so wonderful. God didn't MAKE Alex quit he chose to quit because he knows his calling in life is to praise God with Music. God bless.
No No No...I quit because I was to young and had no strength to fight the life style of those days...Im sorry if i didnt comunicated that well...Jesus gaved me Music and Im still practicing to get better and better so i can represent him and all the players of these times...Amen...!!!
