Jennie Woods-Glue Yes you are right! Lets hope it stays that way, as more rain is forecast in the coming days. There is already minor leakage in the bathroom which is upstairs. This is most worrying as it means that more water will almost certainly cause a lot more damage. Regardless of where the damage is it is the emotional stress of seeing your home being thrashed. We suffered terribly two years ago where the water entered through a different pathway and within an hour there was two inches of water downstairs. The unusual fluctuating temperatures in the weather these days are a clear indication that this may happen again so regular checks on upstairs roof tiles and the flashing is imperative. We just have earthquakes here....fortunately we personally didn't get much damage but the city is still under rebuild and will be for decades !!
